Andrea Brillantes and Heart Evangelista stole the spotlight at the annual Shake, Rattle and Ball Halloween party, as the former embraced a daring nude look while the latter sported a bloodied, knife-adorned costume.
Held at a hotel in Pasay City on Saturday, Oct. 31, the Halloween ball, organized by Tim Yap, carried the theme ‘LUCID: Dreams and Nightmares,’ with the dress code invitation, ‘Come as a dream. Come as a nightmare.’
Brillantes embraced a common nightmare of being caught naked in public with her daring ‘Tabloid Nakedness’ look. She created the illusion of being nude through prosthetics and newspaper details.
Evangelista, on the other hand, stunned in a fitted white gown with intricate beading and a dramatic back detail featuring knives and red accents, creating a bloodied, horror-inspired finish of being ‘backstabbed.’
Evangelista was joined by Alden Richards, who came as a warrior angel in an ornate gold armor and white ensemble, complete with feathered wings and a halo.
Other celebrities also brought their creative interpretations of the theme to the Halloween gathering.
Yap transformed into Polyphemus, the one-eyed giant from Greek mythology, while Jayda Avanzado made a statement with a costume fashioned from high electricity bills.
Among the other standout appearances were Inah de Belen, who channeled Tomie from Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito, and Alodia Gosiengfiao, who went for a spider-inspired look.
