Monde Nissin earnings climb to P8.1 billion in Jan-Sept period

Food and beverage giant Monde Nissin Corp. saw its net income climb by nearly 21 percent in the first nine months of 2026, supported by stronger sales across its food businesses and improved profit margins.

On Wednesday, the maker of Lucky Me! noodles and SkyFlakes crackers said its net income rose by 20.8 percent to P8.06 billion from P6.67 billion a year earlier.

Core net income attributable to shareholders also reached a record P8.35 billion, up 16.1 percent from P7.19 billion, driven by higher revenue and gross profit.

Consolidated revenue grew by 7.3 percent to P67.9 billion from P63.26 billion, as both its Asia-Pacific Branded Food and Beverage (Apac BFB) and protein businesses posted gains.

Gross profit increased by 13.4 percent to P23.85 billion, while core earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda, rose by 9.8 percent to P13.02 billion.

Third-quarter growth

For the third quarter alone, reported net income edged up by 0.5 percent to P2.27 billion.

Growth was partly offset by a noncash loss of P513 million from the fair value measurement of its protein business guaranty asset.

Meanwhile, third-quarter core net income attributable to shareholders climbed by 16.2 percent to P2.86 billion.

Monde Nissin’s Apac BFB business generated P56.76 billion in nine-month sales, up 6.5 percent, mainly on higher prices and volume growth in its biscuits and strategic growth categories.

Its domestic business contributed P53.5 billion, representing a 6.7-percent increase.

Biscuit sales grew by 8.4 percent, while strategic growth categories, including beverages, packaged cakes and culinary products, expanded by 9.9 percent.

Noodles sales increased by 1.5 percent.

Apac BFB’s core net income rose by 10 percent to P8.12 billion, supported by pricing adjustments, cost management initiatives and lower coconut oil costs.

Meanwhile, the company’s protein business, which includes the Quorn and Cauldron brands, recorded an 11.6-percent increase in revenue to P11.14 billion.

‘Looking ahead, we remain focused on disciplined execution, prudent management and advancing our strategic priorities across the group,’ said Monde Nission CEO Henry Soesanto.

‘We will continue to monitor developments in input costs, foreign exchange, consumer demand and the broader geopolitical environment …’ Soesanto said.
