LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The opening of Apple Guy Limited’s new electronics shop at Gateway Mall has brought excitement among Lilongwe residents and sarounding districts for apple products accessibility.

The opening of the shop has also inspired hope in young people that entrepreneurship can create millionaires in the country.

Addressing the press after official opening of the shop, the company’s Chief Executive Romulus Chikafutwa emphasized the need for young people in the country to identify problems in their communities and work towards solving them if they want their businesses to grow.

Chikafutwa disclosed that his journey began with addressing people’s needs at a young age, a practice that has helped his business expand and open a new outlet in the capital.

He therefore encouraged emerging entrepreneurs to start early, remain focused, and approach business with passion, noting that commitment eventually pays off.

During the launch, Chikafutwa presented an iPhone 17 Pro Max to Inkosi ya Makosi Gomani V as a gesture of appreciation for his continued support.

In his remarks, Gomani V said it is inspiring to see young people succeeding in business, adding that such examples offer motivation to many others.

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The election of Councillor Isack Jomo Osman of Bangwe–Ntopwa Ward as the new mayor of Blantyre City has sparked renewed optimism for improved infrastructure among property developers.

Renowned property developer and Pacific Limited Chief Executive Officer, Faisal Aboo, expressed confidence in Osman’s leadership, noting that the new mayor has a deep understanding of the city’s dynamics, having lived in Blantyre for most of his life.

“Jomo is someone who was born, raised, and has spent the better part of his life in Blantyre. We can safely say he is fully aware of the city’s infrastructure challenges,” said Aboo.

Aboo added that if the mayor prioritises the development of shops, office spaces, accommodation apartments, and the road network, the city’s growth could be greatly enhanced.

On his part, Mayor Osman said he has already started engaging property developers to explore strategies for improving infrastructure standards in Blantyre.

“Our aim is to find a win-win situation between infrastructure owners and local business operators who have long complained about the lack of affordable business space,” he said.

Osman further revealed that his office will provide incentives to serious developers who are contributing to changing the city’s landscape.

Blantyre, which comprises the Blantyre and Limbe central business districts, remains Malawi’s commercial hub.

However, inadequate decent business space has led to congestion, affecting commerce in the city.

Not long after NFL star Stefon Diggs submitted a libel lawsuit against a social media influencer, the influencer is clapping back.

Christopher Blake Griffith, the content creator who accused Diggs of sexual assault over the summer, is filing a countersuit against the New England Patriots wide receiver, denying Diggs’ claims of libel, according to a report from TMZ on Friday, November 21.

Griffith claims Diggs “drugged and sexually assaulted” him in 2023 after a charity basketball game. Griffith alleged that Diggs and others went to a D.C. club that night before going to Diggs’ home afterwards, where he was assaulted by Diggs and others. In Griffith’s police report from 2023, he also claimed Diggs offered him candy that was “laced with drugs” without knowledge.

According to the TMZ report, when Griffith got to Diggs’ house after leaving the club, Diggs “exposed his penis to Mr. Griffith” and began masturbating. Griffith then allegedly told Diggs to “put his penis away” and when he walked to the door of Diggs’ house, the NFL star tried to kiss him.

The influencer then reportedly hid in Diggs’ bathroom for 45 minutes and was threatened by Diggs’ family when he left the bathroom. One week later, Griffith was allegedly assaulted outside of his Los Angeles apartment and suffered serious injuries.

On October 1, 2025, Diggs filed a libel lawsuit against Griffith, disputing his claims about what happened that night. According to Diggs, he went to his bedroom to wrap up the evening after the basketball game while his assistant asked Griffith to leave the house.

It was at this time that the alleged assault took place.

Over the summer, nearly two years after the alleged incident, Griffith took to social media to put Diggs under fire about what he claims happened that evening.

Griffith posted an Instagram story at the time, claiming the assault and tagging the footwear company Ugg and actress Sarah Jessica Parker in the post. (Both had participated in a campaign for Ugg).

The influencer said he was “disgusted” that the company hired Diggs for the campaign after he filed a police report from the May 2023 incident.

He also shared what he claimed was a copy of his police report in the August 2025 post, tagging the NFL and the Patriots in the post.

“Y’all gon let Aaron Hernandez 2.0 just run wild without penalty?” Griffith posted on his Instagram story, referring to the late tight end who was found guilty of first-degree murder in 2015 before dying by suicide while incarcerated in 2017.

“I’m aware that you’re aware & since we’re BOTH aware, let’s act accordingly.”

Stefon Diggs’ Ex Accuses Him of Trying to Silence Her Over Alleged Assault

In a statement obtained by multiple outlets, Griffith’s lawyer, Jake Lebowitz, denied Diggs’ claims that the events ever happened.

“Mr. Griffith is looking forward to showing the world in Court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York Lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks.”

Diggs recently welcomed a baby with his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, the couple announced on Thursday November 13 via Instagram.

Western Michigan University police reportedly checked on Marshawn Kneeland twice while he was playing football at the school prior to his untimely death.

The former Dallas Cowboys defensive end died by suicide on November 6 following a brief police chase. He was 24 years old.

According to police report documents obtained by ESPN, Kneeland’s coaches and friends called the police on multiple occasions, dating back to 2020, requesting officials administer a welfare check on the athlete.

During that first incident, in September 2020, Kneeland’s unnamed friend called 911 to request a wellness check. Police later found Kneeland near train tracks in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

“Kneeland told me he was sitting across the tracks in hopes a train would run him over to end his life,” the responding officer wrote in a report, per the outlet. “Kneeland told me life overall and the lack of playing football at WMU had him feeling down. He told me he had been feeling like this for a while. When asked to clarify how long he felt that way, he did not answer. Kneeland said he does not see a therapist or take any medication for his mental health crisis.”

According to the report, Kneeland did not want medical help at the time, but deputies sent him to a local hospital.

The second incident came in June 2023, according to the report, less than a year before Kneeland was drafted into the NFL by the Cowboys.

Western Michigan coach Lance Taylor and then-defensive coordinator Lou Esposito called police with concern after Kneeland had recently separated from his girlfriend. The report also showed concern that Kneeland was not “mentally fit to possess a firearm.”

“After speaking with Kneeland, he voluntarily turned the firearm into WMUPD for safekeeping until cleared by a counselor,” the officer wrote.

Kneeland received his firearm back from police after obtaining a letter from a social worker at the Western Michigan Sindecuse Health Center. The social worker stated that Kneeland was determined not to be a threat to himself or others.

Just hours before Kneeland’s death on November 6, Cowboys’ director of security, Cable Johnson, also called police requesting a welfare check.

Johnson told authorities Kneeland had sent goodbye texts to friends and family and expressed he was “not able to go to prison or to jail.”

At a press conference on November 12, Cowboys head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, announced the creation of the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund and revealed that Kneeland’s girlfriend, Catalina, was pregnant.

“I’d like to take a few moments and offer my condolences to Marshawn’s family, Catalina, his girlfriend,” Schottenheimer said. “We had an opportunity last night to celebrate Marshawn’s life, tell some stories. Share, laugh, cry. Marshawn loved the words ‘one love.’ So we talked a lot about love, as we grieve. I got a chance to share a couple of the things that I’ll miss the most about Marshawn.”

He continued, “My heart is heavy, my team’s heart is heavy. We don’t move on, but we do move forward.”

During the team’s first game back since Kneeland’s death on Monday, November 17, the players and coaching staff honored him by wearing special t-shirts pregame. The team will also wear helmet decals of his number for the remainder of the season.

“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have some tears when I first put the shirt on, as you can imagine,” Schottenheimer said. “But more than anything, I know Marshawn was looking down on us, and we wanted to make him proud, and I think we did that.”
