Priscilla Ojo fires back at critics for fashion choice

Nigerian fashion creator Priscilla Ojo Mkambala, has responded to the backlash she received over fashion choice.

The influencer on her social media page, responded to a critic who called her out for repeating a shoe she wore during her wedding reception.

‘Is that not the heels you wore for your wedding?,’ the user wrote.

Priscilla responded, noting that comments like that place unnecessary pressure on young ladies.

‘My generation girls are living in delusion, thinking I should only wear Jimmy Choos once just because my fanbase is bigger now. This exact reason is why many young girls feel pressured by social media to fit an unrealistic standard. Note: My life will go however I want it to go. As long as my family, friends, and honest fans are happy, every other person’s opinion is just noise,’ she wrote

Kiddwaya laments over entitlement mindset in relationships

Nigerian reality TV star Terseer Kidd Waya, popularly known as Kiddwaya has opened up on the challenges of dating ladies from the lower or middle class.

While speaking in an interview, the entrepreneur and Billionaire’s son claimed that ladies from regular background becomes entitled when dating wealthy guys.

‘At first, they’re thankful everything feels new and exciting,’ he said. ‘But after a few months, they start comparing themselves to others. They want the same bags, the same trips, and soon, what was once special becomes expected. The entitlement sets in and sometimes turns into rudeness. That’s been my biggest issue dating someone from a lower class and bringing them into my lifestyle,’ he stated.

Kiddwaya also revealed what he looks for when choosing a partner. He disclosed that he doesn’t see background or status but focuses on character and values.

‘I don’t pick based on background or status. Just be nice, have good energy, and stay grounded. I’m very easy to please when it comes to relationships. You have to believe in God. It doesn’t have to be tied to religion, but there must be a belief in something higher than us. The way you speak to a waiter or anyone who’s not on your level says everything about you. Respect should never depend on status. I could wake up and say, ‘Babe, we’re going to Jamaica tomorrow,’ and I want her to say, ‘Let’s go. I just like someone who can match my energy and enjoy the moment,’ he added.

After tearful abuse claims, Regina Daniels unveils lavish new mansion (Photos)

In a bold display of self-reliance that has captivated social media, Nollywood star Regina Daniels has unveiled a sprawling new mansion, framing it as a sanctuary for herself and her family just days after a public implosion in her high-profile marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.

The 24-year-old actress’ Instagram post, shared Sunday, struck a defiant tone: ‘In my house I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head so I got this for me and my family .’

Accompanied by glamorous photos of her perched on a sunlit balcony overlooking manicured grounds, the announcement has amassed over 312,000 likes and a flood of celebratory comments, including endorsements from Afrobeats sensation Naira Marley and fans hailing her as the ‘Comeback Queen.’

The timing could not be more poignant. Daniels’ reveal comes nine days after a viral video surfaced in which she tearfully accused Nwoko, 64, the Delta North senator and her husband of five years, of physical abuse.

In the clip, viewed millions of times across platforms, Daniels declared she could ‘no longer endure’ the alleged assaults and was done with the marriage, a union that began controversially in 2019 when the then-18-year-old actress wed the polygamous businessman as his sixth wife.

Their relationship, which produced two young sons, had long been a tabloid fixture, blending Daniels’ youthful stardom with Nwoko’s vast wealth and political clout, but the latest revelations have thrust it into a raw, unfiltered spotlight.

Nwoko swiftly fired back in a lengthy social media statement, rejecting the domestic violence claims and painting Daniels as the aggressor.

He alleged she was grappling with substance abuse and alcohol dependency, behaviours he said fueled violent outbursts, including slapping three staff members and vandalizing property like cars and windows ‘for no just cause.’

Insisting the marriage remained intact, Nwoko demanded Daniels enter rehabilitation, either at his Asokoro residence or in Jordan, under strict conditions to curb her alleged addictions.

‘Her current behaviour is a result of her ongoing battle with substance and alcohol,’ he wrote, echoing a narrative that has drawn sharp criticism for shifting blame onto the victim.

Daniels’ family has vehemently denied the drug accusations; her brother Lawrence posted supportive photos of her on Instagram, while sister Destiny Etim debunked rumours of reconciliation by revealing Daniels chartered her own $10,000 private jet flight, a pointed assertion of financial autonomy amid whispers of Nwoko’s influence.

The feud escalated further when Daniels’s brother-in-law, Sammy West, went public with harrowing details, claiming Nwoko had ‘beaten and smashed’ her head during the altercation, vowing to champion women’s rights against such violence.

Even Daniels’s mother, Rita Daniels, a fellow actress, weighed in indirectly via a cryptic Instagram video of herself dancing to lyrics about ‘trouble sleeping but woken up by some people,’ captioned ‘Mama testing microphone with her drumbeat,’ a subtle nod to resilience in the face of chaos.

Public reaction has tilted heavily toward Daniels, with her mansion post igniting a chorus of empowerment anthems online.

Comments poured in from fans and peers alike: ‘A Queen’ garnered over 8,500 likes, while others urged, ‘Thank God say you save for rainy days. In whatever you do please stay alive,’ and ‘Pls ooo don’t let him threaten u with de kids and go back ooo.Nigerians love u and will support u.Bold steps.’ Celebrities like Naira Marley hit the like button, and phrases like ‘The Comeback Queen ‘ trended, underscoring a broader cultural shift in Nigeria where women in the spotlight are increasingly celebrated for breaking free from toxic dynamics.

Disgruntled PDP southeast lawmakers talk tough

The South-East Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in the House Representatives have threatened to boycott the forthcoming national convention of the party if Woman Leader position is removed from the zone.

Spokesperson of the zone in the House of Representatives, Ikenga-Imo Ugochinyere, made the position of his colleagues known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

Ugochinyere said that they will issue a disclaimer against the convention slated to hold Nov.15 and Nov.16 in Ibadan in two weeks if they confirmed that the party had zoned woman leader outside the zone.

He said that there is still time to remedy the situation before screening of aspirants if the insinuation making the rounds has any iota of truth.

Ugochinyere said that no elected lawmaker from South-East will remain in PDP if the impending insult is allowed to happen.

‘We don’t want to see PDP suffer more setbacks, still, we will stick to our position at the Ibadan convention if, in the next few weeks what we are hearing is confirmed.

‘If the position of National woman leader is not ceded expressly to Imo and an Imo person is allowed to emerge, we will boycott the convention,’ he said.

According to him, now that Gov. Mbah has left for APC, that earlier arrangement of Enugu producing a woman leader no longer stands because Mbah’s woman leader nominee is also in APC.

The lawmaker explained that Gov. Mbah’s defection has provided opportunity for the party to address the injustice of depriving Imo the woman leader position.

He alleged that an arrow head within the party is the brain behind the plot to deprive Imo its rightful woman leader slot.

‘However, confirmed information is filtering in that some people is trying to move that woman leader position out of the South-East to the South-South.’

He warned that such a plot would provoke the entire South-East and alienate them from the Ibadan national convention and the PDP generally.

‘This will compound the ongoing confusion in the PDP. If the remaining stakeholders from the South-East boycott the convention, that will bring the party into more crisis.’

Ugochinyere appealed to Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun to use his position as one of the leaders of PDP in Southern Nigeria to ensure that the position is given to the South-East and Imo.

‘We don’t want to believe the information that one of the party’s leader is plotting to cede the woman leader position to the South-South.

‘It would be very insulting to the South-East if a position that is there is taking away and given to the South-South.’

’Kill me quickly, don’t pay ransom’ – Plateau pastor’s bold message goes viral

A Plateau-based cleric, Evangelist Ezekiel Dachomo of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), has stirred strong reactions across Nigeria after a viral video surfaced of him declaring that no ransom should be paid if he is ever kidnapped.

In the video making rounds online, Dachomo, said his death would not end his mission but instead ‘raise war’ for the liberation of Christians in the northern region.

‘We are showing them mercy, we are showing them love but they didn’t see it,’ he said in the video. ‘I don’t know where I will be next, but I’ve already told my family and members, if they kidnap me, nobody should contribute one kobo. My grave will speak. My blood will raise war that will lead to Christians’ liberation.’

The cleric, who has consistently condemned killings and attacks on Christian communities in Plateau State, said he has accepted the risks that come with speaking out.

‘That day is coming. I am just waiting for them. Even I will tell them, kill me quickly because nobody will bring kobo,’ he added.

Dachomo had earlier posted another video showing the mass burial of victims of a recent attack in Heipang community, near Jos. He described the footage as proof of what he called an ‘ongoing Christian genocide’ in northern Nigeria.

According to him, documenting the violence was necessary ‘so the world will not deny or forget the scale of the killings.’

His message has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions. While some Nigerians hailed him as a fearless voice of truth, others expressed concern for his safety amid the worsening security situation across the North.

Receiving the staff who excelled in the first stage of the programme in his office, the Permanent Secretary hailed the winners for their commitment to personal development and exceptional performance throughout the training.

He noted that their success reflects the State House’s strong emphasis on excellence, professionalism, and innovation-driven service delivery.

‘I am proud of you because you have distinguished yourselves in this critical training initiative.

‘Your achievement underscores our readiness to embrace digital transformation and aligns perfectly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes efficiency and technological advancement in governance,’ Fashedemi said.

The Permanent Secretary extolled the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation for initiating the Digital Skills Literacy Programme, describing it as a timely and strategic intervention in building a modern, digitally proficient federal workforce.

In a significant step towards modernising the Federal Civil Service, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Didi Esther Wilson-Jack, launched a comprehensive, service-wide Digital Literacy Action Plan, in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), aimed at equipping all civil servants with the foundational digital skills required to thrive in a 21st-century work environment.

Nigeria divided in CAF CL: Rivers United progress to group stage, Remo Stars in trouble

Nigeria’s Rivers United have secured a place in the group stage of the CAF Champions League after a commanding 3-1 victory over Mozambique’s Black Bulls in the second leg of their second preliminary round clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The result saw The Pride of Rivers, coached by Finidi George, overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit to advance 3-2 on aggregate – a remarkable comeback that cements their status among Africa’s elite clubs.

Rivers United began the match on a bright note, with Wasiu Falolu opening the scoring in the 15th minute. Maclyn Biokpo Jerewari converted from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute to double the lead before halftime.

The visitors struck early in the second half through Moctar Diallo, but Rivers United restored their two-goal cushion in the 76th minute when Timothy Zachariah fired home to seal the victory.

The achievement marks a significant milestone for the Port Harcourt-based side, making them the first Nigerian club in recent years to reach the CAF

Champions League group stage – a feat that rekindles optimism for Nigerian club football on the continental stage.

Meanwhile, Nigeria Premier Football League champions Remo Stars face a stern test in their second-leg tie against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in Pretoria.

The Ikenne-based club trails 5-1 on aggregate after a heavy defeat in Abeokuta last weekend.

Head coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s men will need an exceptional display to overturn the deficit and keep their continental ambitions alive.

APC clears air on timetable for nationwide congresses

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied releasing a timetable for its upcoming congresses that has been circulating online.

The fake document, titled ‘Draft APC 2025 Schedule of Nationwide Congresses and Related Activities,’ claimed that ward and local government congresses would hold on December 10 and 12, 2025. It also mentioned that state and zonal congresses would follow, leading up to a national convention between March 25 and 28, 2026.

However, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, released a statement on Sunday saying the document was fake.

‘The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a false ‘APC 2025 Schedule of Nationwide Congresses and Related Activities’ circulating on social media,’ the statement read. ‘Our party wishes to make it clear that this schedule was not issued or approved by the APC and should be ignored.’

The APC last held its ward, local government, and state congresses in 2021. Its most recent national convention took place in March 2022, where Senator Abdullahi Adamu became national chairman and Senator Iyiola Omisore national secretary.

There are reports suggesting that the current National Working Committee (NWC), along with state, local government, and ward executives, may have their tenures extended beyond the 2027 general elections.

Why Sani is God-sent – Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has described Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State as a ‘God-sent leader’ whose emergence was a divine intervention to restore peace, unity, and justice in the state.

Fani-Kayode stated this on Saturday at the 35th Anniversary Synod of the Diocese of Kafanchan, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).

He said Sani’s administration had begun to heal the wounds of mistrust, discrimination, and insecurity that affected the state in the past.

‘The Governor you have today came as a consequence of prayer. I have known him for many years.

‘He is not an ordinary person,’ Fani-Kayode said.

The former minister recalled that Kaduna State once faced severe religious tension, adding that Christians were marginalised and victims of violence, especially during the 2016 Christmas Day attacks in parts of Southern Kaduna.

He said about 800 people were killed in four local government areas on that day, describing the incident as a ‘gruesome massacre’ that left lasting scars on the Christian community.

According to him, hospitals were shut and victims were neglected, while communities were repeatedly attacked without response from the authorities at the time.

Fani-Kayode said such experiences strengthened Christians to resist oppression peacefully and to continue trusting in God.

‘To be a Christian is not to be a second-class citizen or a slave. It is to be a child of the living God,’ he said.

He commended Sani for promoting inclusiveness and religious harmony since assuming office, stating that one of his first actions was to bridge divisions between Christians and Muslims in the state.

Fani-Kayode said, ‘He kept his promise by ensuring Kaduna belongs to both Christians and Muslims.

‘He also established the Kaduna Elders Forum, where Christians are now included.’

The former minister said peace had returned to Southern Kaduna under Sani’s leadership, noting that the killings and hostilities witnessed in the past had stopped.

He also praised the governor for showing respect to the Christian faith, recalling an instance when Sani removed his cap during a Church service as a sign of reverence.

Fani-Kayode urged the residents of the state to sustain the peace and continue promoting interfaith understanding.

He advised families affected by the past crises to show forgiveness and compassion across religious lines.

‘If you lost a child during the time of terror, find a Muslim child to adopt.

‘And if you are a Muslim who lost a child, adopt a Christian child,’ he said.

Fani-Kayode also called for continued unity between both faiths, stressing that the majority of Muslims and Christians in Nigeria desire peaceful coexistence.

He commended the people of Southern Kaduna for their resilience and faith, describing them as ‘extraordinary people who chose peace over violence.’

World’s largest refinery to rise in Nigeria as Dangote boosts capacity

Dangote Refinery has announced plans to increase its production capacity from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day.

When completed, this expansion will make it the largest refinery in the world, bigger than the Jamnagar Refinery in India.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Sunday, the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, said the move shows strong confidence in Nigeria’s future and supports President Bola Tinubu’s goal of making the country a leading supplier of refined petroleum products.

‘We are more than doubling our capacity from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels per day,’ Dangote said. ‘This will make ours the largest refinery in the world.’

He explained that the expansion demonstrates faith in Nigeria, in Africa, and in the continent’s ability to shape its energy future.

Dangote also praised the Federal Government for supporting local industries through policies such as Nigeria’s First Policy, the Naira-for-Crude Policy, and the One-Stop Shop Initiative. According to him, these policies have encouraged private investment and strengthened the downstream oil sector.

He noted that the government helped to resolve recent challenges at the refinery caused by union disruptions and sabotage.

The expansion project is expected to create about 65,000 jobs during construction and open new opportunities for local industries.

It will also boost production of polypropylene from 900,000 to 2.4 million metric tonnes a year, as well as increase the production of base oils and linear alkylbenzene, a major ingredient in detergents.

The upgraded refinery will produce Euro VI-standard fuels that meet top global environmental standards. It will also have improved power generation capacity to ensure uninterrupted operations.

‘Our aim is not just to refine oil but to create opportunities for Nigerians,’ Dangote added.

No More Fuel Shortages

Dangote assured Nigerians that there will be no fuel shortages during the festive period despite rising global oil prices.

He said the refinery is ready to maintain steady supply and stable prices throughout the year-end season.

‘For the first time in many years, Nigerians can look forward to a festive season without fuel worries,’ he said.

A Game-Changer for Nigeria

The Dangote Refinery was inaugurated in May 2023 by former President Muhammadu Buhari, who described it as a game-changer for Nigeria’s economy.

Production began in January 2024 after the delivery of six million barrels of crude oil. Since then, the refinery has supplied both local and international markets and helped reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported petrol.
