MANILA, Philippines — University of Batangas and Immaculada Concepcion College flaunted their might and advanced to the finals of the PG Flex-UCAL Season 8 volleyball tournament last Friday at the Paco Arena in Manila.
The UB Brahmans banked on their 1-2 punch in Aldrin Rosales and Prince Ramirez to outlast Lyceum of the Philippines U-Batangas, 25-15, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21, in their knockout semis duel and extend their amazing winning run to eight games in the men’s division.
Overall, it was the 20th straight win for the Brahmans since their mighty sweep of the title last year.
Rosales fired 14 points and Ramirez added 10 as the top-seeded Brahmans arranged a title rematch – a best-of- three series – with the ICC Blue Hawks starting on Tuesday.
