KANCHANABURI – Two Indonesian men have been arrested after being found with 8,000 speed pills and 8 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine in Sangkhla Buri district.

Police apprehended the pair at Phra Chedi Sam Ong (Three Pagodas) village, near the Myanmar border in tambon Nong Lu on Wednesday, said Pol Lt Gen Phisit Tonprasert, commissioner of Provincial Police Region 7. The names of the suspects were withheld.

In addition to the drugs, the arresting officers seized three mobile phones. The suspects were later taken to the Sangkhla Buri police station for questioning.

The suspects denied all charges, but the police said they were not convinced by their remarks.

The duo were charged with colluding to distribute and possess illicit drugs.
