He said the distributed items included three diesel water pumps, 150 fertilizer bags, and 150 kilograms of maize seed, among other valuable agricultural resources.
Kawinga explained that the initiative aims to equip local farmers with the tools and materials they need to thrive in the upcoming farming season.
Each of the three farmers’ clubs has over 200 active members, all of whom are expected to benefit from this timely support.
The assistance is anticipated to enhance irrigation efforts, boost crop yields, and strengthen food security within the community.
“When we invest in our farmers, we invest in our future. Every seed planted is a seed of hope. Together, we are building communities of prosperity and sustainability,” said Apostle Kawinga.
Through initiatives like these, Apostle Kawinga continues to demonstrate his unwavering commitment to fostering self-reliance, economic growth, and hope among Malawian farmers transforming lives one field, one family, and one community at a time.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the beneficiaries, the club chairperson, Sivelo Gaulani, expressed gratitude for the support.
He explained that the clubs were formed to make farming more productive and efficient.
“We mostly rely on maize, but with this support, we are now ready to diversify into soya bean farming,” Gaulani said.
