Charley Boy’s 999 memoir set for global tour in October

There are indications that Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy’s memoir, ‘999,’ will embark on a global tour starting from October 2026.

It was gathered that plans are underway to take the celebrated autobiography to London, Germany, and other major European cities.

Following the European leg, the book presentation is also expected in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, and Rwanda.

The buzz around the tour comes after the successful Lagos launch of ‘999’ in late July at the Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga House, Ikoyi.

When asked to confirm the news, Charly Boy also known as AreaFada said: ‘It is true that 999 is touring the world from October 2026 after the successful outing in Lagos. My ‘father’ Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is setting up a new itinerary of tours for the book.’

‘Do you know that he has started signing invitation cards again to invite his international and diplomatic friends to the presentation in London, Germany and other EU countries? He feels that the book is a big lesson for the world,’ he added.

‘Other African presidents close to Baba are also calling on him to bring 999 to them. And we shall answer their calls.’

The highly promoted memoir has become the most talked-about autobiography in Nigeria in recent times.

Distinguished Nigerians heeded Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s call and turned out for the Lagos presentation, which continues to make headlines alongside the author.
