Police arrested about 10 teenagers and seized three motorcycles after they illegally raced on a road in this tourist city early Sunday morning.
Pattaya police broke up the illegal street race on Sukhumvit-Pattaya Road in tambon Nong Prue at around 2am on Sunday following complaints about noise and public danger caused by the activity.
Officers found around 20 motorcycles involved in the race, with participants aged between 14 and 19. When police arrived, most of the racers fled the scene, but about 10 were caught. Their details were recorded, and their parents were summoned and urged to discipline them.
Police said three motorcycles were impounded during the operation.
