Greece’s FM to hold meeting with Turkish counterpart Monday on FAC sidelines

Greece’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, is to hold on Monday a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on the sidelines of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, in Luxembourg.

According to an announcement by Greece’s Foreign Ministry, Gerapetritis, who will be in Luxembourg for the EU Foreign Affairs Council, on the margins, is to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Armenia, Trkiye and Ukraine.

On Sunday, Gerapetritis, in response to Fidan’s statement, a day earlier, on Greece’s stance regarding Turkey’s participation in the EU SAFE programme, said that Athens pursues an active and consistent foreign policy that is based on the universal values of international law and would not deviate from these principles. He also said that ‘suggestions and accusations’ were ‘not acceptable.’
