The Department of Life Sciences of the European University Cyprus invites you to the 7th BIO-BIOMED Research conference which will be held on May 21st and May 22nd 2026. The conference is mainly addressed to students and graduates of Biomedical and Biological Sciences programs and aims to keep them up to date regarding the latest research advances in various fields of Biomedical and Biological Sciences.

The scientific programme opens on Thursday May 21st 2026, with a series of invited talks covering a broad range of contemporary topics, including cancer biology, immunology, microbial genomics, neurodegenerative disease, host-microbiome interactions, cell death mechanisms, pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical development, and AI-driven innovation in biotechnology. Renowned speakers from academic institutions, research foundations, and biotech start-ups will present cutting-edge research and real-world perspectives, followed by an open discussion and networking reception. The sessions will take place at Auditorium Alpha of the European University Cyprus.

On Friday, 22 May, the conference continues with a strong hands-on and training focus. The morning session is dedicated to students, featuring a blood drawing training workshop (Lab N39), offered free of charge and accompanied by a certificate of attendance. In the afternoon, the programme turns to researchers, with a live demonstration of Lectomic Fingerprinting technology by LectomeBio (Lab N26). This session will showcase an innovative live-cell profiling approach for cell state assignment, with opportunities for discussion on experimental design and follow-up data analysis.

By combining scientific lectures, practical training, and emerging technologies, the 7th BIO-BIOMED Research Conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, enhance student employability skills, and strengthen links between academia and industry in the biomedical sciences.

Lectures will be given by distinguished scientists from European University Cyprus-Frankfurt Campus (Prof. Karim Dib, and Dr. Efterpi Kostareli), the American College of Greece (Dr. Leonardos Mageiros and Dr. Alexia Victoris Polissidis), the University of Cyprus (Dr. Yiorgos Apidianakis), the European University Cyprus (Dr. Panoraia Siafaka), LectomeBio Ltd. (Dr. Dimitris Tampakis) and Freyia Labs Ltd. (Mr. Vassilis Joseph).
