The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday afternoon, as part of his official visit, the first by a Cypriot President to the country.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the President of the Republic was welcomed at Astana Airport by Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, Zhaslan Madiyev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arman Issetov, the Deputy Mayor of Astana, Yerik Meyirkhanov, as well as the Ambassadors of the two countries, Petros Nakouzis and Nikolay Zhumakanov.
It is noted that tomorrow morning, the President of the Republic will meet with the country’s top political leadership and, among other things, will address the business forum between the business communities of the two countries.
Accompanying President Christodoulides to Kazakhstan are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, the Minister of Energy, Trade, and Industry, Michalis Damianos, the Deputy Minister to the President, Irene Piki, the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, Nikodimos Damianou, the Director of the President’s Diplomatic Office, Doros Venezis, the Deputy Government Spokesperson, Yiannis Antoniou, and other officials, the statement concludes.
