Prime Minister Philip Davis has held talks with a delegation from the International Data Center Authority (IDCA) on the occasion of signing a strategic digital economy and digital hub initiative for the sovereign digital infrastructure programme for The Bahamas.
A brief statement issued by the Officce of the Prime Minister noted that the meeting followed a series of engagements in New York alongside the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
It said that the Government and the International Data Center Authority first discussed a phased approach to strengthening The Bahamas’ digital infrastructure and digital economy. It did not elaborate.
The IDCA delegation included members from the IDCA Global Foundation, Aton Path, the U.S.-led flagship Accessible Energy Bank (AEB) platform, and the IDCA local partner, Bahamas Technological Services Ltd. (BTSL).
