The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has said it would mobilise its members and supporters across the state to reclaim power in the February 2027 governorship election.
The party made the declaration at its Expanded State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting held at the PDP Secretariat in Kaduna.
In a communique signed by the state chairman, Chief Sir Edward Percy Masha, and Secretary, Hussaini G. Ahmad, the The meeting also featured the formal presentation of Shehu Bawa Usman, popularly known as ABG, as the party’s 2027 governorship candidate, with Amos Adamu Gandu (AAG) as his running mate.Presenting the ticket, Masha urged party members to work together to secure victory for the PDP, while commending Bawa for his grassroots mobilisation efforts across the state.
The SEC resolved that the party would remain ‘united and formidable’ as it works to ‘rescue Kaduna State from misgovernance, lack of focus, and misplaced priorities under the present APC-led government.’
The party said it would base its 2027 campaign on issues affecting the people, promising not to shy away from highlighting what it described as failures of the current administration.
