Kim Kardashian delivered an emphatic response to critics of her 12-year-old daughter, NorthWest, experimenting with fake piercings and face tattoos on her social media.
“This is such a non-issue,” Kardashian, 45, clapped back at critics on the joint TikTok account she shares with her daughter on Saturday, October 25.
Earlier this week, North revealed a whole new look in a TikTok video that has amassed nearly 5 million views and 180,000 “likes.” In the clip, North debuted a tattoo of a star under her eye and her name written in cursive on her cheek.
The 12-year-old paired her fake facial tattoos with a faux septum piercing, as well as braided blue highlights in her hair. North also displayed henna symbols on her hand and a black grill over her teeth.

North tried to ward off any controversy by making it clear in a followup post that all of her style accessories were temporary.
“Fake piercings and fake tatts 4 life,” she wrote.
Still, some were not impressed by North’s temporary makeover, with one commenter suggesting it was a “shocking new look.”
“She’s TWELVE??” another commenter complained.
Many others defended the preteen, with one X user asking: “None of you tried fake tattoos as kids??”
“It’s really not that serious, hence the word ‘fake,’” a commenter pointed out.
Kim and her daughter have experimented with fake piercings in the past. In 2019, Kim shared a photo of North wearing a fake nose ring at an 85th birthday celebration for Kris Jenner’s mother (and North’s great-grandmother), Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, in addition to mother and daughter wearing matching faux piercings to events from time to time.
North is the oldest of Kim and ex-husband Kanye West’s four children. The former couple also share Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 6.
During her October 15 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Kim assured host Alex Cooper that she actively encourages North’s interest in fashion.
“I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” Kim joked. “It makes her so happy. I would never take that creative away from her.”
Kim insisted North already has a strong sense of fashion, which is why she “dresses like a tomboy most of the time.”
“She’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care if someone says they don’t like my blue hair, or my this or that,’” Kim noted. “And she’s really confident and is like, ‘I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people.’”
Meanwhile, Kim recently revealed on The Kardashians that she’d been diagnosed with “a little aneurysm” that may have been caused by “stress.” Viewers followed Kim as she underwent an MRI and later shared news about her condition with sister Kourtney Kardashian.
Kim has managed to keep busy despite her health issue, as she shared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, October 24, that she will soon be a qualified lawyer. Kim started studying law in 2019 and has become a leading advocate for prison reform in recent years.
“I will be qualified in two weeks. I hope to practice law,” Kardashian confirmed to host Graham Norton on his BBC One talk show. “Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K. and be a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want.”
Hulu releases new episodes of The Kardashians every Thursday.
The former Canadian Prime Minister, 53, was filmed holding hands with the “Dark Horse” singer following a date in Paris for her 41st birthday on Saturday, October 25. Footage published by TMZ showed Perry wearing a sleek red dress and being handed a rose from a fan outside a cabaret performance at Crazy Horse Paris.
With Trudeau holding her hand, Perry accepted the rose as other onlookers sang “Happy Birthday” outside the venue. Trudeau and Perry were all smiles as they briefly acknowledged the throng of photographers and fans before getting into a waiting car.
It has been a whirlwind few months for the two stars. The couple were first spotted on a walk in Montreal’s Mount Royal Park in July before enjoying a private meal together at the Le Violon restaurant a few hours later.
Perry and Trudeau have since gone on multiple outings over the past several months, including a PDA-filled trip on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, in early October.
Us Weekly learned on Friday, October 24, that both Perry and Trudeau are trying to maintain their privacy despite the increasing public interest in their relationship.
“Katy is really into it. She’s very happy,” an insider told Us. “She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”
The source added, “Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn’t met a lot of her friends yet.”
Trudeau and Perry squeezed in their latest date between concerts on the musician’s Lifetimes European Tour. Perry performed at the Accor Arena in Paris on Friday and is scheduled to be back on stage at the MVM Dome in Budapest, Hungary, on Monday, October 27. (The European leg of Perry’s Lifetimes Tour wraps up on November 11 in Madrid, Spain, before she heads to Asia to close out the year.)

Their new relationship seemingly started one month after Us exclusively reported that Perry and longtime partner Orlando Bloom ended their engagement in June after 10 years together. (Bloom shares 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Perry, and shares 14-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Perry was married to comedian and political pundit Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.)
“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” reps for the pair confirmed in a joint statement to Us on July 3. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
In September, Bloom, 48, told NBC’s Today that he was “grateful” to share “the most beautiful daughter” with Perry, adding: “We’re great [and] we’re going to be great. It’s nothing but love.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor even made light of Perry’s new romance with Trudeau when satirical website The Onion suggested that Bloom might start dating former German chancellor Angela Merkel in retaliation. Bloom responded in the comment section by simply writing: “👏👏👏.”
Meanwhile, Justin and his ex-wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, confirmed they had signed a legal separation agreement after 18 years of marriage in August 2023. (Sophie and Justin share three children: Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.)
“They remain a close family,” a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement at the time. “Both parents will be a constant presence in their children’s lives and Canadians can expect to often see the family together.”
BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-South Africa’s Under-17 side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Malawi at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon, in a match that exposed defensive lapses and lack of composure from the Junior Flames.
The visitors took an early lead in the 15th minute through Luke Hendrix, who slotted home after Malawi’s defence failed to clear a cross from the right flank.
Despite Malawi showing flashes of brilliance midway through the first half, South Africa maintained control of possession.
Malawi made their first substitution in the 38th minute with Owen Dzombe replacing Hope Mustafa, while South Africa responded by introducing Keabetswe Morake for Lwandiso Radebe.
Moments before halftime, Malawi’s Robert Jacob was booked for a foul outside the box and the first half ended 1-0 in favor of the visitors.
The second half started with Malawi looking determined but a defensive miscommunication in the 50th minute resulted in an own goal, doubling South Africa’s lead.
Coach for Malawi Enos Chatama introduced Mapalo Gumbo for Orchestra Kanyenda to boost the attack but the Junior Flames continued to struggle against South Africa’s solid backline.
The visitors sealed the win in the 74th minute following another defensive blunder, extending the scoreline to 3-0.
Malawi’s final changes, including Shaban Daud for Joel Yakobe, couldn’t spark a comeback.
Although South Africa finished the game with ten men after Abulele Dlekeala was stretchered off due to injury, Malawi failed to capitalize during the five added minutes.
The final whistle confirmed a disappointing result for the Junior Flames although it was friendly match.
Former Today cohost Bryant Gumbel appears to be on the mend following his recent hospitalization.
TMZ published photos on Saturday, October 25, that showed Bryant, 77, and his wife, Hilary Gumbel, walking on the streets of New York City. Bryant — who appeared to be in good spirits — wore a bomber jacket and a New York Yankees baseball cap as the couple walked their dog through NYC.
The outlet previously reported on Monday, October 20, that Gumbel suffered a “medical emergency” that necessitated him being transported from his apartment building to a Manhattan hospital. His loved ones declined to specify what caused Gumbel’s hospitalization, though a family member told TMZ that the four-time Emmy Award winner was doing “OK.”
His wife Hilary subsequently shared a hopeful image of the sunshine peeking through a tree on her Instagram Story, along with the caption: “Gratitude.”
Bryant has had some serious health issues in the past — most notably undergoing surgery in October 2009 to remove a malignant tumor near one of his lungs.
“It’s nothing to hide from. They opened up my chest, they took a malignant tumor and they took part of my lung and they took some other goodies,” Gumbel explained on a 2009 episode of Live With Regis and Kelly. “The pathology on most of the stuff had been benign, but enough aggressive cells had escaped the tumor that it warranted some treatment and I went through that and it’s done now.”
Bryant lost his older brother Greg Gumbel — an esteemed sports broadcaster who worked for CBS and NBC over a 50-year career — in December 2024. CBS Sports confirmed Greg’s death at age 78 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband and father, Greg Gumbel,” Greg’s family said in a joint statement last December. “He passed away peacefully surrounded by much love after a courageous battle with cancer.”
His family said that Greg “approached his illness” by showing his loved ones “stoicism, grace, and positivity.”
“[Greg] leaves behind a legacy of love, inspiration and dedication to over 50 extraordinary years in the sports broadcast industry; and his iconic voice will never be forgotten,” they added. “Greg’s memory will forever be treasured by his family, dearest friends, colleagues and all who loved him.”

Greg’s longtime CBS Sports colleague Jim Nantz described the late sportscaster as “broadcasting royalty.”
“He was as selfless a broadcaster as anyone in the industry has ever known. Our careers intersected for nearly 35 years, and he was the consummate teammate and friend,” Nantz. “There’s not a member of the CBS Sports family who doesn’t have a sweet or kind memory of Greg. I have so much love and respect for him, and I’m going to miss him dearly.”
Meanwhile, Bryant has had his own esteemed career in both news and sportscasting. He cohosted NBC’s Today for 15 years and later covered the 9/11 terror attacks for CBS’s The Early Show in September 2001.
He hosted and executive produced HBO’s sports news magazine series Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, for which he won three Peabody Awards and received an astounding 37 Sports Emmy Awards. Real Sports concluded in December 2023 after 29 seasons on HBO.
Away from the small screen, Bryant shares two grown children, Jillian Beth Gumbel and Bradley Christopher Gumbel, from his first marriage to June Baranco. Bryant’s first marriage ended in 2001 and he wed his second wife Hilary the following year.
Jenna Dewan light-heartedly shared her 12-year-old daughter Everly Tatum’s preparation for an Irish dance competition.
The Step Up alum, 44, joked via her Instagram Story on Saturday, October 25, that one of the key steps in getting Everly ready for her performance was applying “instant tanner” at 7 a.m. That’s dedication!
The early morning preparation seemingly paid off as a later video on Dewan’s Instagram Story showcased Everly effortlessly performing her formal routine.
Of course, the mom of three — who shares Everly with ex-husband Channing Tatum, plus she shares son Callum, 5, and daughter Rhiannon, 1, with fiancé Steve Kazee — has a wealth of experience to rely on as she guides her young daughter’s foray into competitive dancing.

Dewan started her career as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson, Celine Dion and Pink before putting her dance experience to excellent use in her 2006 breakthrough movie Step Up.
Surprisingly, the actress previously told Us Weekly that Everly initially wasn’t interested in dancing as she grew up, despite coming from two parents with strong performance backgrounds. (Tatum costarred with Dewan in Step Up and also appeared in the Magic Mike movies.)
“We’ve always had this joke that coming from two dance parents, she just had no interest at all,” she told Us in 2022. “Recently, she’s wanted to take up Irish dancing … on her own accord.”
Dewan explained that Everly’s interest in Irish dance caught both of her parents completely by surprise since it was such a far cry from their styles.
“She was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I want to do that,” the Come Dance with Me judge explained. “And now she’s going to Irish dance classes. She is so serious about it. She loves it. We are in it to win it … in her own way. That’s very Evie. She wants to do things in her own unique way. It’s so cool.”
At the time, Dewan hinted to Us that her son Callum may be the next member of the family to try dancing, since he has “a little swag [and] a little bounce” like his dad. (Kazee has an extensive musical theater background, including winning a Tony Award for his leading performance in Once.)
“[Callum] already has a bit of an inclination for rhythm and music,” she teased. “So we’ll see. I’m very big on not pushing [my interests] on my kids because I want them to find what they’re uniquely interested in. But yeah, they’re finding it.”
Dewan and Tatum got together in 2006 after meeting on the set of Step Up and eventually tied the knot in 2009. Both have been reluctant to publicly discuss their 2018 separation and subsequent divorce, though Tatum, 45, admitted to Variety in September that he’d worked through any issues with his ex-wife in order to coparent Evie.
“Jenna and I are good now, but it was a painful break to have that fall apart, especially being so young,” Tatum acknowledged. “We tried to keep it together, tried for a year and a half. … It’s in the past.”
Admitting that the divorce was “tough” on the whole family, he added: “It’s really tough not to have your daughter half the time. I wish I could just have her all the time.”
Tatum has moved with long-term relationships with Jessie J first and then with Zoë Kravitz — both of which have now ended — while Dewan announced her engagement to fiancé Kazee in February 2020. Kazee and Dewan went on to welcome son Callum in March 2020 and daughter Rhiannon in June 2024.
“From the moment you arrived, you have brought immense joy and love into our lives… your gentle grace, sweetness, and beauty have captivated our entire family,” the couple wrote in a 2024 birth announcement for Rhiannon. “Our hearts are overflowing with love, and we are truly blessed by your presence. Welcome to our world baby girl.”
Katee Sackhoff says sometimes she’s taken her body transformation too far in her work … including once when she completely stopped menstruating. The actress sat down for a conversation on the “Joe Rogan Experience” in an episode published…
June Lockhart, a legendary actress best known for her iconic roles in Lassie, Lost in Space and A Christmas Carol, has died. She was 100 years old.
Lockhart died of natural causes on Thursday, October 23, according to a Saturday, October 25, press release. She was at her home in Santa Monica, California, with her daughter June Elizabeth and granddaughter Christianna by her side.
The service will be private, and in lieu of flowers the family suggests sending donations to The Actors Fund, ProPublica and International Hearing Dog, Inc.
“Mommy always considered acting as her craft, her vocation, but her true passions were journalism, politics, science and NASA,” said her daughter, June Elizabeth, in a statement. “She cherished playing her role in Lost in Space and she was delighted to know that she inspired many future astronauts, as they would remind her on visits to NASA. That meant even more to her than the hundreds of television and movie roles she played.”
The actress’s nearly 90-year career took her from the stage to the big screen and beyond. She made her stage debut at 8 in the 1933 production of Peter Ibbetson at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. At 13, she starred onscreen in A Christmas Carol alongside her parents, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart.
Her young career quickly blossomed from there, when she landed the role of Lucille Ballard in Meet Me in St. Louis at just 19 years old.

In the 1950s through the 1970s, Lockhart’s career gained traction on television, portraying the Mother in Lassie, Maureen Robinson in Lost in Space, and Dr. Janet Craig in Petticoat Junction.
She made her Broadway debut in 1947, a role in the show For Love or Money. With that, she earned a Tony Award in 1948 in the category of “Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer,” which no longer exists today.
Her prolific work across many decades earned her two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (one for TV and one for film), which were both dedicated in 1960.
She was also very involved with NASA and space exploration, and her role in Lost In Space helped to inspire many astronauts at the time. She attended NASA launches and landings throughout the years, and in 2009 she was with legendary astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in Washington, D.C. for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the moon landing.
In 2013, NASA honored Lockhart with the “Exceptional Public Achievement Medal,” which is given to non-government individuals who have made contributions to NASA throughout their career.
“I’ve been to two space shuttle launches and worked with NASA since the 1970s, addressing their employees and traveling on NASA’s behalf to promote the agency,” she told The Denver Gazette at the time she received the award. “So I’m absolutely thrilled by this recognition. No other actress has received this honor.”
Along with her many other adventures, Lockhart was a strong supporter of animal rights. She supported the Santa Monica Mounted Police Horses and was the National Spokesperson for International Hearing Dog Inc.
Selena Gomez is getting in some quality family time with her younger sister, Gracie.
On Saturday, October 25, the “It Ain’t Me” singer, 33, shared a sweet photo of herself sitting alongside her sister, Gracie, to her Instagram Stories. Gracie, who the singer has often described as a close friend, could be seen leaning on her big sister’s shoulders while the pair were in a booth at an undisclosed restaurant.
Gracie, 12, was recently honored at Gomez’s September 27 wedding to her now-husband Benny Blanco. After the music producer, 37, read his vows to Gomez, he turned and addressed Gracie, too.
Blanco then gifted Gracie a coupon book that she can use for “whatever she needs,” an insider told Us Weekly in September.
“If she needed something from them like a day to hang out or a shopping spree, Gracie could use a coupon with them for whatever she needed,” the source shared. “It was very sweet, and everyone was crying over that, too.”
The source also shared that Gomez was especially emotional while reading her own vows during the pair’s ceremony, which caused a bit of a ripple effect among the attendees.
“Everyone there was sobbing, and it was extremely emotional,” the source explained.
The insider also described the decor at the wedding as “very eclectic.”
“It was very much his style and was similar to the decor in their Beverly Hills home,” the source added. “He is very into design and loved doing it.” The decor included Persian rugs and brown, white, and red florals, and both Blanco and Gomez were spotted walking barefoot.

“They had rugs and carpet everywhere because Benny does not like to wear shoes,” the insider explained, adding that both Blanco and Gomez had their shoes off for the majority of the evening. In fact, the duo even completed their first dance barefoot.
Gomez opened up about her decision to wear three different dresses at the wedding during an October 21 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
“I tried to do this sneaky thing and I’m sure you can relate,” the actress and singer told Hudson. “I didn’t want anyone to get photos of my wedding unless it was from me,” she explained. “I keep my life as private as I can.”
She continued: “So that [first] dress was initially for the look,” she said, referencing a custom Ralph Lauren dress featuring a halter neckline and pleated A-line skirt. She added that her “favorite dress” was the one she wore during the ceremony, which featured a lace neckline, a see-through skirt and a corset bodice. Gomez later changed into a midi dress for the reception.
A source previously told Us Weekly that it was very important to Gomez that she was the first person to post photos from the event on social media.
“She wants to be the first one to post her bridal look before she walks down the aisle and doesn’t want it ruined by paps/drones, etc.,” the insider said.
To pull that off, Gomez didn’t tell her guests specific location details of the wedding until only days before it happened. “Selena had nerves before doing her first look with Benny, but from that moment on, she was radiating joy,” the insider shared. “You could tell how happy she was, and she did not stop smiling or crying tears of joy the entire day.”
