Sporting Lagos compounds Enyimba woes in five-goal thriller

Sporting Lagos came from behind twice to beat Enyimba 3-2 in Aba on Matchday Five of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), deepening the crisis at the nine-time champions.

Stanley Dimgba put Enyimba ahead in the 44th minute, but Abdullahi levelled six minutes after the restart. Tobi Iyanda restored the home side’s lead from the penalty spot in the 54th minute.

Sporting Lagos hit back through Haruna Hadi in the 65th minute. Daniel Aboh then completed the turnaround four minutes later.

Elsewhere on Matchday Five, Barau FC beat Abia Warriors 2-0 through Joseph Atule in the 22nd minute and substitute Ibrahim Ayoola in the 61st. That extended their unbeaten start to five games and put them top of the table. Rangers edged Ranchers Bees 1-0 thanks to Chidozie Iwundu’s 80th -minute strike.

Bendel Insurance beat Ikorodu City 2-1, Shooting Stars saw off Katsina United 2-0 and Kwara United got past Nasarawa United 2-1. UNICEF targets better health, nutrition for Jigawa mothers, children

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has called for the expansion of the Masaki programme (Nutrition Food Production through local available food in the communities) to all the 27 local government areas of Jigawa State to improve maternal and child health, nutrition and sanitation.

UNICEF Chief of Field Operations and Emergency in Nigeria, Judith Leveillee, made the call while speaking with journalists during her inspection visit to a Masaki food demonstration at Zangon Buluntu village in Ringim Local Government Area of the state.

Leveillee, who was on a two-day visit to Jigawa, described the Masaki programme as a ‘golden opportunity’ to give children a healthy start in life, particularly by focusing on the critical first 1,000 days of life.

She explained that the period, from pregnancy through the first two years of a child’s life, was crucial for nutrition, healthcare and early childhood development, stressing that interventions during the period could produce lasting benefits for children and families.

‘I love the Masaki programme. It’s a golden opportunity. The first 1,000 days of life is where the action needs to happen to make sure that children have the best start in life,’ she said.

According to her, the programme also provides a platform for various sectors of government to work together in delivering essential services to pregnant women, mothers, children and communities.

She said the programme, currently being implemented in three local government areas, provides weekly services at ward level, thereby bringing health and nutrition interventions closer to families.

Leveillee said expanding the programme to all 27 LGAs would create greater opportunities for women and children to access antenatal and postnatal care, nutrition services, sanitation, health education and early childhood development interventions.

‘A lot can happen through this platform, with more attention to sanitation, education and early-age stimulation and development, as well as antenatal and postnatal care to make sure women and children have access to health and nutrition services,’ she said.

The UNICEF official also emphasised the need to improve sanitation among vulnerable households, particularly through increased access to household latrines.

She noted that improved sanitation was essential to preventing diseases among children and promoting healthier communities.

Leveillee commended the Jigawa State Government, health authorities, parents, community leaders and other stakeholders for their commitment to improving the wellbeing of women and children.

She urged stakeholders to strengthen existing collaboration and sustain efforts to expand the Masaki programme to more communities across the state.

‘It’s a golden platform that needs to be cherished and nurtured and taken to the next level,’ she added.

Nigeria @66: Reforms yielding stability, prosperity next – Fed govt

The Federal Government on Thursday declared that the difficult economic reforms undertaken by the President Bola Tinubu administration are beginning to deliver greater stability, saying its next priority is to translate the gains into jobs, higher incomes and improved living standards for Nigerians.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, said the administration was now entering a consolidation phase in which economic stability would be converted into sustainable growth and shared prosperity across the country.

Akume spoke in Abuja at the world press conference flagging off activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, scheduled for October 1, with the theme, ‘From Reforms to Stability: Consolidating Nigeria’s Renewed Hope for Shared Prosperity’.

According to the SGF, the administration has laid the foundations for a stronger economy through structural reforms introduced since 2023 and would now concentrate on ensuring that their benefits reach ordinary Nigerians.

‘The task before us today, as leaders and citizens, is consolidation. We must ensure that the gains from reform translate into better opportunities for ordinary Nigerians’, Akume said.

He recalled that the administration took what he described as difficult but necessary decisions in its first year, including ending the decades-long petrol subsidy regime, unifying foreign exchange windows and tightening fiscal and monetary policies.

He said the measures were designed to restore fiscal balance, stabilise the economy and create a stronger foundation for investment and growth, adding that the administration would now accelerate revenue mobilisation and attract additional investments.

‘Every step is geared towards turning stability into growth, and growth into prosperity for all’, he said.

Akume said the government was equally accelerating investment in roads, railways, airports, seaports, electricity generation and transmission as well as digital connectivity to reduce the cost of doing business, connect farmers with markets and stimulate industrial development.

He said agriculture remained central to the administration’s economic strategy, with government supporting farmers through improved seeds, fertilisers, irrigation, storage and processing facilities to increase food production and develop agro-industrial value chains.

The SGF also highlighted interventions in education, healthcare and social protection, saying the government was determined to ensure that vulnerable Nigerians were protected while the wider economy adjusted to the reforms.

He cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, Conditional Cash Transfer, NG-CARES, School Feeding and vocational training initiatives among programmes designed to widen opportunities and cushion vulnerable groups.

‘No one in poverty should be forgotten as we build the foundations for broader prosperity’, Akume said.

On security, the SGF said operations by the Armed Forces and security agencies against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and oil theft were yielding progress, maintaining that the surge in insecurity was being gradually contained through sustained operations.

He said government was strengthening intelligence capabilities, modernising equipment, improving coordination among security agencies and communities, strengthening border security and investing in community policing.

Akume also disclosed that President Tinubu had approved the development of a new National Threat Assessment and a five-year Defence Plan aimed at providing a coherent national security strategy.

According to him, the administration’s objective is to achieve ‘a Nigeria where every parent can send their child to school, every market can trade without fear, and every community can thrive in safety’.

He nevertheless acknowledged that challenges remained, including poverty, insecurity and deficiencies in power, roads, ports, healthcare and education, saying the administration was determined to confront them through consistent policies and stronger institutions.

Akume said the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme would also ensure that the benefits of economic growth reach communities across the federation through support for grassroots activities in agriculture, trade, mining and other productive sectors.

He stressed that the private sector would remain central to the government’s development strategy by leading investment, innovation and job creation, while government provides a stable policy environment, transparent regulation and stronger institutions.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s journey since independence on October 1, 1960, the SGF said the country had overcome enormous challenges, including the Civil War and prolonged military rule, while preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He particularly highlighted Nigeria’s 27 years of uninterrupted constitutional democracy since 1999, describing it as the longest continuous period of civilian government in the nation’s history and an important foundation for stability.

Akume said Nigeria had also diversified from its earlier dependence on agriculture and oil, with telecommunications, banking, manufacturing and services emerging as important pillars of economic activity, alongside the development of globally recognised entrepreneurs, professionals, scientists, artists and athletes.

‘Our diversity is a strength, not a weakness. The rich tapestry of ethnicities, languages and religions that make up Nigeria must unite us in purpose’, he said.

Looking beyond the anniversary, Akume said the administration would remain focused on consolidating reforms, deepening stability and delivering growth under the Renewed Hope National Development Plan 2026-2030, with productivity, diversification, human capital development and resilience as priorities.

‘From reforms, we have built stability. From stability, let us now deepen growth and opportunity. And from growth, let us extend shared prosperity to every corner of Nigeria’, he said.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, who was among functionaries that spoke at the press conference, also said Nigeria was moving beyond the most difficult phase of economic reforms towards growth, production and shared prosperity.

Idris said the administration inherited significant structural and fiscal challenges in 2023 but chose to confront longstanding economic distortions rather than postpone difficult decisions.

While acknowledging that Nigerians had borne costs arising from the adjustments, he said GDP growth was strengthening, the country’s external position had improved, domestic refining capacity had expanded and investment and productive activity were gaining momentum.

‘Today, however, Nigeria is moving from reform and stabilisation towards growth, production and shared prosperity’, the minister said.

He said the next phase was to ensure that those gains translated into more jobs, higher incomes, increased access to education and credit, lower costs and wider economic opportunities.

Idris said interventions in infrastructure, agriculture, education, consumer credit, digital skills, energy and enterprise were geared towards building an economy increasingly driven by domestic production and value addition.

‘The principle is simple: Nigeria must increasingly produce what it consumes, process what it extracts, and create opportunities from its abundant human and natural resources’, he said.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, said the security situation affecting agricultural production had improved significantly compared with conditions experienced in 2023 and 2024.

Kyari, however, said climate change had emerged as a major challenge to food production, particularly because of increasingly irregular weather and rainfall patterns.

The government officials urged Nigerians to use the 66th Independence Anniversary to reflect on the country’s resilience and renew their commitment to building a more prosperous, secure and united nation.

Sanwo-Olu’s wife leads COWLSO to meet APC candidates

Wife of Lagos State Governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, yesterday led the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) to meet the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC). She declared their readiness to mobilise voters and participate in the 2027 general election.

Speaking during the visit to the Campaign Office in GRA, Ikeja, to meet Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, accompanied by his running mate, Princess Damilola Sonayon-James, Mrs Sanwo-Olu urged the women to come out en masse to vote for APC candidates, noting their important roles in the development and growth of the state.

She said Lagos women were in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Hamzat.

Said she: The committee is ready and committed to delivering the party’s mandate by participating in the electoral process and mobilising voters to their polling units.

‘We need to prove to our President that we are not just delivering one million votes; we are also going to do more. Let us ensure President Tinubu comes back to power. So, if we women want more seats, we need to work by voting and making sure we deliver all polling units for our party.’

Mrs Sanwo-Olu said the forthcoming election was an opportunity to advance development and infrastructure across the country and Lagos State, adding that Tinubu and Hamzat had the experience and capacity to provide purposeful leadership and drive further development.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Hamzat said supporters must come out in large numbers to vote for APC candidates.

‘We should go out to get people to vote because if we say we are standing on a mandate, we must be able to come out to vote and show that we are really standing on that mandate. We must involve our children and get our families, neighbours and associates to also vote,’ he said.

He urged COWLSO members to communicate the achievements of the APC-led administrations at the federal and state levels to the electorate, saying the women had an important role to play in taking the government’s programmes and initiatives to their families, communities and workplaces.

Citing the outcome of the 2023 general election, the deputy governor said APC had re-strategised and ensured more people were involved in the electoral process within their localities.

He said Lagos APC was targeting 50 per cent of registered voters to support its candidates, noting that continuity could only be achieved when people turned out to vote.

The deputy governor stressed the importance of political leadership and participation, saying: ‘For me, if you want to be the President of a country and you cannot lead a political system, then you cannot manage Nigeria.’

He said the campaign would be based on grassroots mobilisation, increased voter participation and communicating the achievements of the party’s administrations to the electorate.

Princess Sonayon-James appealed to women to support, guide and pray for Dr. Hamzat, as the campaign gathers momentum ahead of the 2027 general election.

She said the APC ticket represented a bridge between generations, combining Hamzat’s public service experience and institutional knowledge with the energy and aspirations of younger people. She described women as a critical force in shaping the future of Lagos.

‘Together, we can mobilise. We can mobilise and ensure our President goes back a second time to finish the good work he started for our dear nation,’ Sonayon-James said.

The Director-General of the PBAT-KOH 2027 Campaign Council, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, urged women to leverage their influence in their families and communities to mobilise young voters ahead of the 2027 Lagos State governorship election, noting that voters aged between 18 and 35 constituted a significant proportion of the electorate, making women an important link in reaching and engaging the younger generation.

He appealed to the women to make young people the focus of their conversations and activities, stressing that their engagement would be vital to the campaign’s grassroots mobilisation efforts.

The APC Chairman in Lagos State, Cornelius Ojelabi, commended the women for publicly identifying with the party and advised them to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

He described the mobilisation of support for the party and its candidates as a collective responsibility, saying the women had an important role to play in communicating the achievements of the President Tinubu administration, Lagos State Government and the councils to the electorate. ‘Let us go out to propagate the achievements of this particular administration, what the Governor of Lagos State has done in the state, what our council chairmen have done. The job is a collective responsibility, so that Nigeria can be better for all of us,’ he said.

Earlier in her goodwill message, former Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Ojo/Member COWLSO, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, pledged Lagos women support for the party’s candidates, from President Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to other APC candidates across the state, urging members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and house-to-house campaigns ahead of the forthcoming elections.

She called on COWLSO members to take the APC message to their families, neighbours, markets, workplaces and communities, stressing the need for participation in the electoral process.

UNGA 81: Defence Minister seeks greater African ownership, funding of regional security

The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd.), has called for greater African ownership and funding of regional security operations to end terrorism and cross-border crimes.

He said countries on the continent must increasingly take responsibility for sustaining mechanisms established to combat terrorism and other transnational threats.

Musa said this at a high-level security discussion organised by the Ministry of Defence on the margins of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81) High-Level Week in New York.

The discussion, titled ‘Confronting Nigeria’s Multidimensional Security Challenges: A Whole-of-Society and Partnership-Based Approach,’ brought together diplomats, security practitioners and representatives of the United Nations, African Union and ECOWAS.

The panel also examined homeland security and early warning, economic security, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and the need for African countries to develop security solutions suited to their specific circumstances.

The call for greater regional ownership formed part of a broader discussion on Nigeria’s multidimensional security challenges, with participants advocating stronger intelligence cooperation, improved border management, economic recovery in conflict-affected communities and greater investment in indigenous security capabilities.

In a statement on Thursday, his Media Adviser, Leah Katung-Babatunde, stressed the need for African member states to provide increased funding and support for regional mechanisms such as the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), even as Nigeria continues to value defence cooperation with international partners.

Musa said although the MNJTF had benefited from support from foreign partners, including the European Union, African countries must ensure that the regional security architecture does not become overly dependent on external assistance.

He said, ‘While regional mechanisms like the MNJTF receive support from foreign partners like the EU, African member states must increasingly finance and sustain their security frameworks to guarantee regional ownership.’

Musa said Nigeria’s security challenges had national, regional and global implications, making sustained cooperation among countries and international organisations essential to confronting terrorism, banditry and other emerging threats.

‘Our recognition that we cannot address these challenges alone is not a statement of dependence; rather, it is an acknowledgement of the multidimensional character of modern security threats and the importance of collective action,’ the minister said.

Musa also reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and banditry, while commending what he described as productive defence cooperation with international partners, including the United States.

The Minister said sustainable security could not be achieved through military operations alone, stressing the importance of resilient communities, effective institutions, inclusive development and good governance.

‘Sustainable security requires resilient communities, effective institutions, inclusive development, and good governance,’ Musa said.

He said the objective of the engagement was to move beyond discussions towards concrete cooperation and clearly defined responsibilities.

‘Our objective should be straightforward,’ he said. ‘We should not merely reaffirm our understanding of the challenges; we should seek to identify concrete areas of cooperation, clear responsibilities, and practical next steps.’

The Defence Minister highlighted the Federal Government’s measures to strengthen national security, including increased military recruitment, Army restructuring, state police and forest guards, unified intelligence operations, enhanced domestic defence production, drone technology for surveillance and IED detection, and a national criminal database.

Other speakers at the event called for stronger intelligence fusion, community-based border security, protection of critical national infrastructure and measures to disrupt terrorist taxation and financial networks.

Maj.-Gen. Adeyinka Famadewa (Rtd.), Special Adviser on Homeland Security, advocated integrated response capabilities and citizen-reporting protection systems to improve early warning and enable authorities to anticipate emerging threats.

A former Force Commander of the MNJTF, Maj.-Gen. Khalifa Ibrahim (Rtd.), called for revitalising the regional force, implementing the Office of the National Security Adviser’s Border Management Strategy, and using community-based approaches to securing Nigeria’s borders.

Ibrahim also advocated stronger action against terrorist taxation and financial networks, which he identified as critical to weakening the operational capacity of terrorist groups.

Former Central Bank of Nigeria Deputy Governor, Dr. Kingsley Obiora, described economic stability as a core component of national security and proposed designated economic zones to accelerate recovery in conflict-affected areas.

Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, former Chief of Staff to the President and Minister of External Affairs, who moderated the discussion, recalled Nigeria’s concentric-circles foreign policy and stressed the need for Africa to position itself as an active contributor to global frameworks, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Prof. Mvemba Phezo Dizolele of Johns Hopkins University urged African countries to develop security solutions suited to their local realities rather than relying on externally designed models, while cybersecurity expert Omosigho Ozo-Eson warned against excessive dependence on foreign artificial intelligence systems.

Adeleke defends UNIOSUN VC’s tenure extension

Osun Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has defended the extension of the tenure of the Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Prof. Clement Odunayo Adebooye, saying the decision was based on merit, legality and the need to sustain the university’s development trajectory.

Adeleke, who spoke on Thursday through the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, at the university’s convocation ceremony, said his administration had witnessed significant academic and infrastructural transformation at the institution in the last four years.

The governor said no fewer than 40 major building projects had been completed and commissioned across the university within the period, adding that more than 30 complementary projects, including renovations, procurement, supplies and solar installations, had also been undertaken to improve teaching, learning and administrative activities.

According to him, some of the major projects commissioned in August alone included an ultra-modern FIFA-standard Sports Complex, a three-in-one Science Laboratory Complex and two lecture theatres. He added that the university had also sustained industrial harmony, with no academic session lost in the last five years.

Adeleke further said UNIOSUN had become the second state-owned university in Nigeria to fully implement the 2025 Federal Government-Staff Union agreement, describing the development as evidence of his administration’s commitment to staff welfare and a conducive academic environment.

On the tenure extension, the governor said he approved a two-year extension for the Vice-Chancellor effective from January 4, 2027, following consultations and compliance with relevant state laws.

He added that the decision had subsequently been backed by an amendment to the Osun State University Law, 2006, passed by the State House of Assembly earlier in September.

Defending the performance of the Vice-Chancellor, Adeleke said UNIOSUN had attracted five major Federal Government projects in September alone, while the university had also completed accreditation requirements for its medical programme and presented its 90 pioneer MBBS students for induction by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and award of university degrees.

The governor also cited the expansion of the university’s student population from 14,260 in 2022 to 42,791 in 2026, the completion and commissioning of the 250-bed Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Medical Research and Training Hospital, and improved rankings, saying UNIOSUN had emerged as the third-best state university in Nigeria, 19th among 312 Nigerian universities and 137th among 2,390 universities in Africa.

He urged staff and management to support the Governing Council and university administration in sustaining peace and academic progress, assuring workers that his administration would continue to support the institution.

NMA appoints Okwuonu to lead organ trafficking fight

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has appointed the Chief Medical Director of the Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia, Dr Chimezie Okwuonu, to lead efforts to strengthen safeguards against organ trafficking and other unethical transplant practices in Nigeria.

Okwuonu will chair the association’s National Committee on Organ Transplantation Regulation from 2026 to 2028.

His appointment was conveyed in a letter dated September 21, 2026, and signed by the NMA Secretary-General, Dr Tamunokuro Diamond, on behalf of the association’s President, Prof Afekhide Omoti.

According to the letter, the committee will recommend measures to prevent organ trafficking, commercialisation, exploitation and other unethical practices associated with organ donation and transplantation.

It will also develop recommendations for a comprehensive regulatory framework and review existing laws, regulations, guidelines and ethical standards governing organ donation, procurement, allocation and transplantation.

The letter read, ‘I have the pleasure of the NMA President, Dr (Prof.) Afekhide Ernest Omoti, to inform you of your appointment as the Chairman, Committee on Organ Transplantation Regulation of the NMA, for the period of 2026 to 2028.’

The panel will propose standards for the accreditation, licensing and monitoring of transplant centres and related facilities to ensure that transplantation procedures comply with appropriate medical and ethical requirements.

It will also recommend safeguards covering donor evaluation, informed consent, confidentiality and the protection of donors and recipients from coercion or exploitation.

Other responsibilities include developing guidelines for transparent and equitable organ allocation, promoting public awareness of living and deceased organ donation and strengthening systems for organ procurement, preservation, transportation and traceability.

The committee will consider the financing and affordability of transplantation, insurance coverage and access to post-transplant care.

It will also recommend mechanisms for professional training and certification and propose the creation of national transplant registries, data collection systems and arrangements for monitoring outcomes and ensuring quality.

The Abia State Government, in its reaction, described Okwuonu’s appointment as recognition of his expertise and a source of pride to the state.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, said the government was confident that the physician would contribute to the development of safer and more ethical transplant practices.

‘The Abia State Government described the appointment as a recognition of Dr Okwuonu’s professional expertise and a source of pride to the state, expressing confidence that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on the development of safe, ethical and effective organ transplantation practices in Nigeria,’ the statement said.

The government added that the committee’s work would strengthen safeguards against organ trafficking, exploitation and other unethical practices.

It congratulated Okwuonu and wished him a successful tenure.

The committee is expected to work with government agencies, regulatory authorities, professional associations, transplant centres and other stakeholders.

It will advise the NMA on emerging legal, ethical, technological and clinical issues and submit periodic reports and actionable recommendations to the association’s leadership.

Okwuonu is a consultant physician and nephrologist with clinical and research interests in chronic kidney disease, dialysis, kidney transplantation and therapeutic apheresis.

He is a former chairman of the NMA in Abia State and has participated in kidney transplantation programmes and research collaborations within and outside Nigeria.

My bond with Ogun people, by Senator Adeola

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has unveiled his nine-pillar development agenda, tagged: ‘ITESIWAJU for Ogun State,’ with a commitment to sustaining viable projects and development policies, if elected governor of the state.

Adeola presented the agenda during an engagement with members of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Abeokuta, where he also advocated an issue-based approach to next year’s governorship campaign.

The ITESIWAJU acronym represents: Infrastructure, Tourism and Culture, Economic Empowerment, Security and Welfare, Inclusive Growth and Well-being, Women, Youth and Poverty Eradication, Agriculture and Food Security, Job Creation and Industrialisation, and Urbanisation and Transparency.

Unveiling his proposed development framework, Adeola explained: ‘ITESIWAJU Ipinle Ogun’, which means the progress of Ogun State, was developed following extensive consultations across the state and is intended to provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the needs and aspirations of residents.”

Senator Adeola said the agenda was conceived as a comprehensive development framework rather than simply an electoral document, noting that it was developed over a period of three years and informed by consultations with thousands of people across Ogun State.

He maintained that Ogun possesses the human and economic resources required to achieve significant development, adding that his aspiration to govern the state is driven by his desire to contribute to its continued progress.

The APC candidate, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District and chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriation, said continuity in governance is critical to achieving sustained economic and infrastructural development. He referenced the development experience of Lagos State, where successive administrations have continued with policies and projects initiated by previous governments.

According to him, Ogun State could similarly benefit when successive administrations evaluate existing projects based on their value to residents and complete viable initiatives rather than abandoning them because they were started by a previous government.

He also called on political parties and governorship candidates preparing for the 2027 election to present clear programmes to the electorate, particularly on youth development, women’s empowerment, industrialisation, agriculture, infrastructure, security, job creation and economic growth.
