Party leaders and stakeholders in Ekiti-South Senatorial District have endorsed the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the seat in 2027.
The leaders and the stakeholders in the six local government areas in the district jointly affirmed Adaramodu as their consensus candidate to remain in the Senate in 2027.
In a letter addressed to the Ekiti State chairman of the party, conveying the decision of the stakeholders, they disclosed that it was reached at a meeting held on April 13, 2027.
‘Following the due consultations with stakeholders, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ward, local governments and districts in line with the directive of the party to adopt consensus where possible, we hereby avail and affirm that Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu has emerged as the consensus candidate of our party for the position of Senator in the forthcoming senatorial election (2027),’ the letter reads in part.
The stakeholders said Adaramodu’s choice received ‘overwhelming support and without dissent’ at the meeting, adding that the decision was taken to ensure the unity and stability of the party, which they explained would guarantee victory for the APC in 2027.
The leaders of the six local governments, who jointly affirmed the endorsement were Idowu Isaac Dare (Ise/Orun; Gabriel Omoniyi (Emure); Oyebode Kayode (Ikere); Olajide Falae (Ekiti-South-West); Akinseye Adebayo (Gbonyin); and ?Chief Clement Ojo (Ekiti-East).
