A former member of the House of Representatives for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Kunle Kareem Jenrade, has died at the age of 76.
He passed away on Friday after a brief illness, which had kept him away from social and political activities for some weeks prior to his death. Until his demise, Jenrade was a committed progressive and a foremost leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ona-Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Reacting to the development, a House of Representatives aspirant for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Kazeem Akinola, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the late Jenrade as a dedicated leader whose contributions to party growth and grassroots development would not be forgotten.
Akinola noted that the deceased lived a life of service, commitment, and total belief in progressive ideas, adding that his leadership and experience would be sorely missed. ‘I will miss him personally. He has always made himself available for my aspirations and offered political advice and guidance whenever needed and at his best,’ he said.
He extended condolences to the family, political associates, and the people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, praying that Almighty Allah grants the deceased Aljanah Firdaus and gives those he left behind the strength to bear the loss.
