Azerbaijan’s U18 women’s national basketball team has secured its second victory at the European Championship Division B in Romania, AzerNEWS reports.
Azerbaijan faced Estonia in a placement game for 17th-20th place and won the match 74-71.
The Azerbaijani team will play its next game against Norway tomorrow.
Azerbaijan previously suffered four consecutive defeats in the group stage, losing to Romania 55-81, Portugal 52-90, the Netherlands 72-79 and Iceland 74-77.
The team then began the placement stage with a 75-73 victory over North Macedonia before securing another win against Estonia.
Azerbaijan will now look to finish the tournament on a positive note in its final placement match against Norway.
