German FM arrives in Kyiv amid Russian strikes

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul arrived in Kyiv on Saturday, amid intense Russian strikes.

Upon arrival in the Ukrainian capital, Wadephul condemned Moscow over the “indiscriminate killing of civilians.” He told the media that “never before has Russia fired more missiles at its neighbor.” He pledged more support for the war-torn country, noting that no European state aids Ukraine more than Germany does.

The Eastern European country was targeted by extensive Russian strikes overnight, with blasts confirmed in Kyiv, the Samara region and Zaporizhzhia.
