Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez tie knot after 9 years of romance

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez, in a private civil ceremony in Portugal after nearly a decade together.

The couple tied the knot on August 11, 2026, in Cascais, a coastal resort town about 20 miles west of Lisbon, according to reports. Their five children and close family members attended the ceremony.

Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, confirmed their marriage on social media by sharing a photograph of their hands wearing wedding rings.

The Portuguese forward posted the image on Instagram, while the couple’s announcement quickly attracted millions of reactions from fans around the world.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez began their relationship in 2016 after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working while Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.

After years together, the couple announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, when Rodríguez shared a photograph of her engagement ring.

The couple have built a family together, raising five children, while Rodríguez has remained a prominent figure in Ronaldo’s life and has developed her own career as a model, influencer and entrepreneur.

The wedding came just four days before Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr, is scheduled to begin its 2026/27 Saudi Pro League campaign.

Ronaldo remains one of football’s most decorated and recognisable figures, having played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al Nassr, as well as the Portugal national team.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored close to 1,000 career goals and recently featured at his sixth FIFA World Cup, matching Argentina captain Lionel Messi’s record for appearances at the men’s tournament.
