UK expands visa services as more Pinoys travel abroad

Per the VFS Philippines website, those who apply via the Mobile Center in Bataan, for instance, must pay an additional fee online of P7,339, ‘as part of the appointment booking process, and prior to attending the center.’

For those who choose the regular visa application services, these remain available at VFS’s UK Visa Application Centers in Manila (Makati Circuit Corporate Tower) and Cebu (Faustina Center, Cebu City), with the relevant application fees.

All these centers-regular, premium, and mobile-operate in accordance with the processes and guidelines established by the UK Visas and Immigration.

In a news briefing, VFS Global noted the increase in Filipinos traveling abroad as visa application volumes at their centers increased by some 8 percent in 2025, year-on-year. VFS Global operates over 4,200 visa application centers in 169 countries. The Zurich and Dubai-based company said it has processed more than 557 million transactions since 2001.

It is majority owned by Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, along with minority shareholders including Swiss-based Kuoni and Hugentobler Foundation, Singapore based Temasek and UAE based Dubai Holdings.
