Venezuela’s acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, has arrived in Suriname on Friday for an official visit to the Dutch-speaking Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country, the state-owned Suriname Communication Service (CDS) has announced.
It said that Rodriquez is visiting at the invitation of President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons and that the two leaders will hold consultations on further strengthening cooperation in areas including agriculture, fisheries, hydrocarbons, connectivity, tourism, education, and capacity building.
‘The agreements reached during this visit will guide sustainable and results-oriented cooperation that contributes to the development, resilience, and prosperity of both countries and their communities,’ CDS added.
