Joy-Anna Duggar is hitting back after some of her followers criticized a decision she made involving her daughter.
Posting via her Instagram Stories on Friday, October 24, Duggar, 27, reshared a previous post she had uploaded. In the original post, Duggar had mentioned she would be getting rid of her daughter’s hot pink bedroom walls.
In the original post, Duggar shared a photo of her five-year-old daughter Evelyn’s bedroom, noting the color will soon be transformed into a more neutral hue as the family renovates their home.
“Definitely not going for this style..Evelyn is sad to see the bright pink go but I promised her we will make her room sooo cute!” Duggar captioned the post at the time. “I’m thinking somewhere in between French country/cottage core! I want very natural tones throughout the house with lots of antique pieces. A very lived in look!”
Following the post, Duggar received critical comments from some of her followers, which she shared via her Instagram Story.
“Sad you don’t let your kids express themselves. She loves the color but of course you have to crush her creativity #badparenting,” one comment read. Another follower added, “It’s so sad you’re forcing her style on her.”
Duggar hit back at these comments and shared more context surrounding her decision to get rid of the bright color.
“OK, I got these comments on my post yesterday… going to clarify this. We’re redoing the WHOLE house… NEW drywall, new paint, everything,” Duggar wrote. “So the bright pink walls are going bye-bye. We may pick out a fun color later, but for now I’m keeping things neutral until the renovation’s done.”
Defending her parenting choices, Duggar continued, “She still gets to pick the fun stuff like decor and bedding. But saying no to neon walls doesn’t make me a bad mom.”

Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth welcomed Evelyn in 2020. They are also parents to sons Gideon and Gunner, who were born in 2018 and 2023 respectively.

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced that fans will enjoy free entry to the Bingu National Stadium for the second leg of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier between Malawi’s Scorchers and Angola this Tuesday.
FAM President Fleetwood Haiya made the announcement after the Scorchers touched down at Kamuzu International Airport on Saturday night following their goalless first-leg encounter in Luanda.
Haiya emphasized that the free-entry initiative applies to open stands only, saying it is part of FAM’s effort to give Malawians an opportunity to fully back their national women’s team in this crucial fixture.
“We want every Malawian to come out in large numbers and show love for the Scorchers. These girls have worked hard and deserve our full support as they fight for a spot at the 2026 WAFCON,” Haiya said.
The Scorchers received a heroes’ welcome at the airport, where their official sponsors, National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Plc, organized a warm reception complete with music and cheers.
The bank reaffirmed its commitment to promoting women’s football, describing the team’s determination in Angola as a source of pride for the nation.
Team captain Tabitha Chawinga expressed gratitude to FAM and supporters, saying the free-entry gesture will serve as motivation for the players to deliver victory at home.

Bijou Phillips has reportedly asked the court to remove “Masterson”from daughter Fianna’s last name as ex-husband Danny Masterson continues to serve his prison sentence.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ on Friday, October 24, Phillips, 45, submitted paperwork to change her 11-year-old daughter’s name from Fianna Francis Masterson to Fianna Francis Phillips. A judge has yet to sign off on the request.
The outlet also reported that Masterson and Phillips were declared legally single after Phillips filed for divorce in September 2023.

Phillips and Masterson started dating in 2004 and got engaged five years later. The pair tied the knot in 2011. Three years later, Phillips and Masterson welcomed Fianna in February 2014.
In 2017, Masterson was accused of sexual assault by multiple women. He was arrested and charged with three counts of rape in 2020. The That ’70s Show alum has denied all the allegations against him.
Masterson went to trial multiple times for the allegations and Phillips remained by his side. His first case occurred in 2022 and resulted in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. The retrial began in April 2023. During the case, Phillips wrote a letter on behalf of her then-husband.
“I am writing to you to ask that you consider this information when sentencing my husband, Danny Masterson,” she wrote in a letter obtained by The Underground Bunker, which specializes in news about Scientology. “I depended on Danny to take care of me and our daughter. I always felt that she would be okay because Danny is an amazing father. He was devoted to our daughter, would read her books, take her on walks and to ballet lessons. I never once heard him complain. The two were inseparable.”
Phillips added that Fianna was heartbroken to not have her father around.
“More than anything, she loves her father. When he calls us each day, she ends with ‘I love you too much Daddy,’” she continued. “We need him more than you can imagine. I know he has been convicted of serious crimes. But the man I married has only been an extraordinary husband to me and a devoted father to our daughter.”
One month later, Masterson was found guilty on two counts of forcible rape for incidents that occurred in the early 2000s. In August 2023, he was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.
Days after his sentencing, Phillips filed for divorce from Masterson after 12 years of marriage. She requested full custody of their daughter.
