Pete Davidson Details His 1st Date With Pregnant Girlfriend Elsie Hewitt

Pete Davidson and his pregnant girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, knew from the moment they met that one day they would share a family.

“When we went on our first date, we went out for dinner for the first time, I was like, ‘Don’t think I’m crazy, but I just know that you’re going to be the father of my children,’” Hewitt, 29, recalled during the pair’s Bumble Instagram Stories takeover on Tuesday, November 18.

Davidson, 32, remembered the fateful date the same way, saying he replied, “I know.”

“And look at us now!” Hewitt said with a laugh. “How about that!” the Saturday Night Live alum said in agreement.

The couple gave fans even more insight into the start of their relationship while taking part in Bumble’s real life love story campaign on Tuesday.

After Hewitt revealed that her ideal date night is going to an escape room, Davidson confessed they haven’t done one — but Hewitt is a big fan of the hands-on experience.

“She goes, ‘I have a standing reservation at an escape room so we can go anytime,’” Davidson laughed, revealing Hewitt told him that as a “flex” early on in their relationship. “I was like, ‘Oh, cool, dude.’”

Pete Davidson and Pregnant Elsie Hewitt Weren’t ‘Planning’ for a Baby

When reflecting on how they’ve grown as a couple, Hewitt said, “You are very patient with me and a lesson we have both learned is I need to work on my time management and Pete is so patient with me.”

The comedian joked, “That’s a lesson that any guy can learn, you’re just going to be late and it’s fine.”

Us Weekly confirmed in March that Davidson and Hewitt were dating after they were spotted getting cozy in Palm Beach, Florida, that same month.

It wasn’t until two months later that the pair confirmed their romance, stepping out for their red carpet debut at the Blossom Ball in New York City.

In July, Hewitt announced via Instagram that she is pregnant with the couple’s first baby. She shared a video of the duo looking at a sonogram among photos of their time together.

“Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” the British model captioned the cheeky upload.

A source later told Us that Davidson and Hewitt’s little one is due this winter and they are “so excited for this next chapter.”

“They’ve been living together and getting everything ready for the baby, and it’s brought them so much closer,” the insider said in October.

Pete Davidson Felt ‘Guilty’ Girlfriend Had to Publicly Reveal Pregnancy

Although the couple are living together, the source said they aren’t ready to get married just yet.

“It has been an exciting time for them and they are doing really well as a couple,” the insider continued. “They have talked about getting engaged but are not rushing it. It’s not their priority right now and they are committed to being loving parents together.”

The source added: “Pete has been there for Elsie every step of the way and is very supportive and loving making sure she is taken care of.”

Pete Davidson Breaks Silence on Girlfriend Elsie Hewitt’s Pregnancy

While Davidson has been a supportive partner, Hewitt hasn’t had an easy pregnancy amid her struggles with endometriosis, a reproductive condition where tissue grows outside of the uterus and causes pain.

“I’m in absolute agony pretty much 24/7. This morning, it’s really bad,” Hewitt shared via her Instagram Story on November 14. “I am just straight-up suffering and in so much pain every single day. I actually really don’t know how it could get worse than this.”

On Tuesday, however, Hewitt was all smiles as she sat beside her boyfriend for their Bumble takeover.

“We’re really excited to dress the baby up exactly like us,” Davidson said in the video, which excited Hewitt. “Matching outfits, all three of us,” she chimed in.

Davidson added, “Yeah, that’s gonna be a lot of fun.”

Bowles added that while Nielson, 38, and Rowan still have a “recovery road ahead,” they are grateful for the support they’ve received.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude — for the heroic doctors, nurses, and medical teams who fought for them, and for every single prayer and message of love from our family and friends,” he continued. “Praying that Krystal and Rowan will both be home safe and sound soon. Fans were introduced to Nielson in 2018 during The Bachelor season 22 where she competed for Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s heart. After being eliminated in week 6, Nielson returned for Bachelor in Paradise season 5 that same year and she met Chris Randone.

Nielson and Randone got engaged during the BiP finale. They tied the knot in June 2019 in an intimate ceremony officiated by former host Chris Harrison at the Vidanta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Their nuptials were televised and aired during BiP season 6.

In February 2020, Nielson and Randone separated after less than one year of marriage.

“It hurts to announce that at this moment, we have mutually decided to separate. Never did we imagine this scenario, but we’ve come to a point where we both need to work on ourselves,” the pair said in a statement to Bachelor Nation. “We are best friends that love and care for each other so deeply. We’ve appreciated everyone’s love and support so far throughout our journey and we just ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate through this.”

Before finalizing the divorce paperwork in January 2021, Nielson met Bowles. The couple went public with their relationship in October 2020.

“This year has been full of ups and downs. Loss, uncertainty, and constant anxiety over when ‘life’ will get back to normal,” the fitness coach wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of her and Bowles. “But I realized that life isn’t meant for us to replay… but rather for us to embrace, evolve and create new experiences that will continue to shape us into who we are meant to be.”

The following month, Nielson and Bowles revealed they were expecting their first child. The couple welcomed daughter Andara Rose in March 2021. Two years later, Nielson and Bowles tied the knot.

In May, Nielson announced that she and Bowles were expanding their family.

“Experienced my first Braxton Hicks contractions last night… and part of me thought I might be going into labor at 34 weeks!! 😅,” she wrote via Instagram in October. “Making sure to capture photos of this bump while I still can! And making sure I can cook this baby boy a bit longer. ✨”

Malawi’s Flames edge Lesotho as Pasuwa’s tactical discipline pays off

BLOEMFONTEIN-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s 1–0 win over Lesotho in Bloemfontein carried the calm weight of a team slowly coming into its own.

It was not a match full of spectacle but one that hinted at a deeper shift in how the Flames approach high-pressure situations especially against a side they had not beaten since 2009.

From the opening whistle, Malawi displayed a sense of purpose that had been missing in earlier outings.

The early tempo, sharper and more controlled than the weekend draw, suggested a team determined to rewrite its narrative.

The breakthrough arrived in the 25th minute. Mayele Malango, positioned with precision, finished off a well-constructed move after receiving a neat pass from Lloyd Aaron.

The play itself began with an intelligent attacking contribution from Babatunde Adepoju, whose ability to hold up and release the ball under pressure created the opening. It was a goal rooted in structure, not improvisation.

While the goal offered Malawi the lead they needed, the performance that followed was equally telling.

The makeshift back-three forced by injuries performed with unexpected cohesion, closing spaces quickly and denying Lesotho clear opportunities.

After the match, Flames head coach Kalisto Pasuwa shed more light on the tactical decisions behind the victory.

He revealed that he intentionally avoided introducing players like Uchizi Vunga and Andrew Joseph, despite having them available.

Pasuwa explained that because the team was leading, he did not want to risk disrupting the rhythm or face criticism had the result slipped away after their introduction.

According to Pasuwa, even though he had already made five changes to his usual starting lineup, the priority was to secure the win.

He acknowledged that integrating fresh players while protecting a narrow lead can bring scrutiny, especially in a match that held symbolic importance for the team.

This kind of calculated decision-making marked a shift in how the technical panel manages games.

Instead of reacting impulsively, the Flames approached the second half with strategic composure slowing the tempo when needed, tightening defensive lines and maintaining discipline in midfield.

SKC Foundation supports Bwaila Hospital with MK6 million items

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Saulos Klaus Chilima (SKC) Foundation on Monday donated assorted items worth K6 million to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Bwaila hospital in Lilongwe.

The donation comes as the world commemorates Prematurity Day on 17 November and this year’s theme was ‘Give preterm babies a strong start for a hopeful future’.

The Day is observed to raise awareness of preterm births including prematurity-related fatalities, challenges and affordable ways to prevent them.

SKC Foundation Trustee, Joshua Valera said they made the donation after receiving a call from the facility on the challenges the NICU is facing.

“As the world commemorates The World Prematurity Day, a day recognised globally as a moment to reflect on, support, and honour premature babies and their families, we are here to stand with you, to appreciate the incredible work done in this unit, and to offer our support in a small but meaningful way.”

“Caring for premature and critically ill newborns requires skill, patience, and deep compassion. We commend the doctors, nurses, staff, parents and guardians who work tirelessly every day to give these babies a fighting chance. Your dedication truly saves lives,” said Valera.

He added that as a Foundation they are geared to support initiatives that uplift the lives of people and has called upon other stakeholders to assist the government in different sectors.

“We remain committed to supporting initiatives that uphold life, empower families, and honour the legacy of the late Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima,” he said.

Some of the items SKC Foundation donated on the day include; cooking oil, soya pieces, soap and moppers.

In her remarks, Senior Nursing and Midwifery Officer at the hospital, Moneko Zoto thanked the Foundation for the timely assistance as the NICU is facing a number of challenges including limited resources.

Zoto explained that as Bwaila Hospital, they register an average of 200 preterm babies per month, thus putting pressure on already limited hospital resources.

“We face limited resources, some women stay here up to two months for their babies to reach the allowed birth weight,” said Zoto.

Zoto, however said Bwaila has managed to reduce the neonatal maternity rate from 12 percent in 2023 to seven percent in 2024.

Preterm babies’ condition is caused by a number of reasons among other things: infections to the pregnant mothers.

Through its various initiatives and projects, the SKC Foundation seeks to address crucial issues such as education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social welfare, ensuring that underserved communities have access to opportunities for a better life.

Agriculture Minister Mbilizi unhappy with Mlambe Irrigation Scheme progress as only 48 of 400 hectares in use

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Minister of Agriculture Roza Fatch Mbilizi has expressed deep disappointment over the slow progress in rehabilitating the Mlambe Irrigation Scheme in Mangochi.

She noted that although the project began in 2023, only 48 out of the expected 400 hectares are currently being irrigated.

The minister voiced her concerns during a tour of the scheme, where she observed several issues that need urgent attention.

She said the current level of progress is far from impressive.

Mbilizi pointed out that with the presence of two reservoirs, the scheme has the capacity to supply sufficient water to all 400 hectares.

She questioned why such potential remains underutilised at a time when the country is prioritising food security.

“Despite some good work, the project is not progressing as planned,” Mbilizi said.

She stressed that the available infrastructure should enable cultivation across the entire scheme, yet only a small portion is currently active.

She urged the Greenbelt Authority to scale up their work and expand cultivation to at least 200 hectares this year.

She said the initial plan to cultivate 100 hectares is not enough to meet national goals.

Mbilizi also called on the project contractor, Einstein Construction Limited, to resolve the operational issues delaying progress.

She emphasized that the current administration is committed to ending food insecurity through the establishment of mega farms.

Einstein Construction Limited is responsible for the rehabilitation of the scheme, which includes grading and leveling 400 hectares.

The works also involve maintaining the main canal and constructing secondary canals.

Greenbelt Authority Chief Executive Officer Eric Chidzungu reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to making Malawi food secure.

He said the irrigation scheme is vital for improving production and ensuring that farmers in Mangochi benefit from modern farming infrastructure.

Einstein Construction Managing Director Kenneth Khonje admitted that the project has faced challenges that have contributed to delays.

He pledged that the company will address the outstanding issues and improve progress moving forward.

Mlambe Irrigation Scheme is one of the Malawi Government’s flagship mega farms aimed at advancing agricultural commercialisation and boosting national food production.
