Sister Wives’ Meri Brown understood that living in polygamy meant having to share her husband with other women — but she wasn’t ready for the emotional toll every new addition would bring.

“I knew that I would have [an] emotion about it when somebody did finally come into the family. And I did,” Meri, 54, recalled during the Sunday, November 9, episode of the TLC series. “I didn’t handle myself the best all the time.”

She continued, “I remember being very jealous. You know, people ask all the time, ‘Were you not jealous?’ Well, yes, I was. How can you not be jealous?”

Meri was Kody Brown’s first wife, legally marrying him in 1990. Three years later, they expanded their family with the addition of Janelle Brown, who spiritually wed Kody, 56, in 1993. Christine Brown joined the polygamist brood in 1994, and Robyn Brown rounded out the family in 2010.

With every new wife came more emotions for Meri, who confessed, “I thought I was living polygamy wrong.”

She remembered thinking that because of the jealousy, she was “a human being [doing it] wrong.”

“I thought I was a woman wrong, a wife wrong. I couldn’t even have a baby, for heaven’s sake, you know?” Meri said. “So everything about me was wrong. It was hard.”

Throughout her marriage to Kody, Meri weathered many storms, including only being able to have one child, Leon, in July 1995.

After Meri legally divorced Kody in 2014 so he could marry Robyn, 47, and adopt her three children from another marriage, their relationship took a hit. Meri and Kody did overcome Meri’s catfishing scandal in 2015, but the plural family as a whole began to unravel a few years later.

“Polygamy dilutes a marriage because you don’t have to spend the time that it takes to make your relationship better,” Christine claimed during Sunday’s episode.

Christine, 53, announced her split from Kody in November 2021, and Janelle confirmed their separation in December 2022. Meri and Kody, meanwhile, released a joint statement in January 2023, revealing that the two had parted ways.

Looking back on their polygamist lifestyle and values, both Meri and Christine revealed on Sunday’s episode that the religion allegedly promotes unhappiness in the hopes of having a better afterlife.

“It’s an interesting idea in the church culture that we came from, that suffering was going to make you better,” Meri told the cameras. “Because if you suffer, then you have it made.”

However, that way of thinking doesn’t sit well with Meri. “I don’t think that we need to endure the pain and the struggles and the challenges,” she said. “I think what we need to do is figure out how to go through them.”

Christine had a similar outlook on the church’s practices after getting married to David Woolley in October 2023 and choosing to live monogamy.

After David, 61, told Christine that in his opinion polygamy creates “a lot of hate, a lot of jealousy, a lot of control,” mostly at the hands of the men, she confirmed that jealousy and competition among the women does happen.

“If I’m having a bad time with Kody in a bad situation, I don’t want to see him being physically affectionate with other wives in front of me,” Christine explained, calling it a “slap in the face.”

While Christine said she never felt like Kody “controlled” her, she told David that the church did preach that being able to deal with the man’s ego and the jealousy factor made them “better” people.

“They teach you that it makes you better. You feel those feelings, you learn to deal with those feelings, and then you move on and you become a better person,” she recalled.

David argued, “No, they tell you to let go of those feelings,” to which Christine agreed.

“The famous quote is, ‘Endure to the end,’” Christine said. “Basically go ahead and have a miserable life because when you die, you earn the celestial kingdom, you earn all the way up and you get to live with God if you endure. That’s sad.”

Christine noted that for her, she just wanted to “enjoy to the end,” instead of suffering.

Justin Hartley‘s Colter Shaw made a rare revelation on CBS’ Tracker about why he still isn’t married.

During the Sunday, November 9, episode of the show, Colter’s next case took him to a lawless desert town in Arizona where a man went missing. Colter’s investigation uncovered a hidden relationship that caused him to be stuck alone in the wilderness. He found his way back to town, which is how he started working with the chief of the police department.

“No, I am not married,” he explained. “I never had room for it.”

While Colter was asked whether he “had a few close calls” that would have sent him down the wedding aisle, the survivalist avoided answering the question. This isn’t the first time Colter commented on his personal life, albeit without much detail and despite prioritizing his career.

“She’s wonderful. I mean, if I had my choice, I’d spend every minute with her,” Hartley gushed to Us Weekly in July 2024 of working with his wife. “What’s really cool is when you meet someone that means so much to you, that you’re so proud to be with and so proud of, and just such a fan of, and to get to see her work, because she’s such a talented actor. She elevates scenes, and so it makes my job easier, actually. But yeah, it’s just wonderful to work with her.”

While Hartley hasn’t confirmed how often Pernas would return to the series, he recently discussed the highlights that come with working alongside his wife.

Executive producer Elwood Reid recently confirmed to Us that Pernas is returning in season 3, saying in October, “She’ll be back. We have a really good, spicy midseason finale and Billie is coming back in the winter premiere.”

Pernas reprising her role as Billie doesn’t mean Colter will finally settle down.

“It’s tricky because he’s never in one place for very long. These are conversations that I have with Justin all the time. One thing I think makes the show work is early on in each episode, you get an emotional hook with Colter about him wanting to help the person that’s asked him for help,” Reid explained. “It does feel weird where he’s like, ‘Hey, wait a minute, I’m gonna go for a five-minute booty call in the middle of the episode.’ So that’s something we haven’t been doing.”

Jonathan Bailey has earned himself a reputation because of his onscreen ability to perfectly play a man in love.

Adult content creator Annie Knight is pulling back the curtain on her $62,000 cosmetic journey.

The Australian OnlyFans star, 28, exclusively told Us Weekly that she initially began receiving filler in her lips in 2020 — she said she had been “so insecure” about her “really small lips” since she was 10 years old — before undergoing preventative Botox and a breast augmentation two years later.

“I just had been wanting to have boobs my whole life,” Knight explained. “When I was younger, I kept being like, ‘Mom, when am I gonna get boobs? When am I gonna get boobs?’ Like, all my friends had boobs. She’s like, ‘Just wait, just wait. They’ll come. They’ll come.’”

Despite her mom’s reassurances, Knight noted that “they literally just never came,” so she ultimately waited until she could “financially afford” the procedure and pay about $10,000.

She continued, “I got it done and straight away was just so happy. I didn’t want anything massive. I just got something that looked natural but made me feel more like a woman and made me way more confident.”

Knight proceeded to undergo “a little bit of chin filler” in 2023 to “even out” her face structure, then “fixed” her teeth with invisalign before undergoing a rhinoplasty the following year. The procedure cost about $10,000.

While Knight traveled to Sydney to be treated by the surgeon that is the “best in Australia,” she ended up paying for two weeks of accommodation in the city — which was “probably another $5,000.”

“That was definitely the most expensive,” she added.

Reflecting back on her cosmetic surgery journey, Knight noted that her “main insecurities” were about her nose, lips, teeth and the size of her breasts.

“Those were the things that I was like, I can make these little tweaks and just make these little fixes, and it’ll hopefully make me way more confident,” she said. “And it totally did.”

Knight, who rose to fame on the adult content platform after sleeping with 583 men in six hours, explained that the tweaks to her physical appearance made a “complete change” in her confidence.

“It’s actually crazy,” she said. “I can go out without makeup on now and just feel way more confident. I can easily just put on a light touch of makeup or a little bit of makeup and feel better. The shape of my face just feels so much more cohesive. It’s crazy that just these little, tiny changes — which, I mean, some people will say that they’re not tiny — but even my nose job, it just changed the entire structure of my face.”

She continued, “I look back at photos of me from like, two years ago, and I’m like, ‘What the hell?’ I look so different, but not different enough for it to not feel like I’m me. I feel more me now than I did two years ago.”

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Salvation for All Ministries International has extended a lifeline to over 4,000 people in Traditional Authority Chiwaura (T.A), Lilongwe District, through the donation of 6,000 bags of maize, as part of its ongoing mission to empower vulnerable communities across Malawi.

The food donation was made during a spirit-filled crusade held at Chiwaura CDSS, led by Apostle Clifford Kawinga, the founder of the ministry.

The outreach comes barely a month after the ministry distributed irrigation farming equipment to farmers in Malawi’s Southern Region, reaffirming its commitment to combining spiritual nourishment with practical humanitarian support.

Speaking during the event in Malembo, Apostle Kawinga emphasized that addressing hunger is essential to effective ministry.

“This is one area that has been affected by hunger due to the dry spells. We thought it wise to come here and spread the good news while donating food because we can’t preach to people who are hungry,” Kawinga said.

He further called on other stakeholders and faith-based organizations to complement government efforts in assisting those affected by the ongoing food crisis.
It is not the responsibility of the government alone. We can all join hands to help families affected by hunger,” he added.

Kawinga also expressed concern that hunger has forced some families to cross into Mozambique and Zambia in search of food, describing the situation as alarming.

Representing TA Chiwaura and all Sub-T/As, Bleston Caleb commended the ministry for the timely support.

“Our area has been hit hard by hunger. We are grateful to Apostle Kawinga and his ministry for this generous gesture,” Caleb said.

One of the beneficiaries, Lucia Chipozi, shared her gratitude, revealing that her family had been going to bed on empty stomachs.

“This maize will surely bail us out. We had nothing to eat for days,” Chipozi said.

Beyond his ministry work, Apostle Kawinga is also a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist the proprietor of Creck Hardware and General Suppliers, CK Storage, Creck Sporting Club, and several other enterprises that contribute to community development and economic empowerment.

Through such initiatives, Salvation for All Ministries International continues to demonstrate that faith in action can bring hope and transformation to struggling communities across Malawi.

LUSAKA-(MaraviPost)-The Zambian media fraternity is mourning the untimely passing of veteran journalist Chishaba Masengu, who has died at a time when he had just marked a major personal milestone — his 25th marriage anniversary.

Mr. Masengu passed away on November 9, 2025, nearly two weeks after being honoured with a Matebeto celebration organized by his wife to commemorate their quarter-century journey of love and companionship.

The cause of his death has not yet been officially disclosed, but his passing has sent shockwaves across Zambia’s journalism community, where he was widely respected as a mentor, writer, and editor.

Throughout his career, Chishaba Masengu distinguished himself as one of Zambia’s most influential voices in journalism, known for his professionalism, integrity, and passion for truth-telling.

Colleagues describe him as a humble yet firm journalist who believed deeply in ethical reporting and the power of the media to bring positive change to society.

Media trainer Henry Kabwe paid tribute to Mr. Masengu, describing him as a man whose dedication to the profession and impact on the media landscape will be remembered for generations.

“Chishaba Masengu’s dedication to journalism and his impact on society will be remembered and greatly missed,” Kabwe said in his condolence message.

Friends and fellow journalists have taken to social media to share their grief and fond memories of working alongside him, highlighting his mentorship and commitment to nurturing young journalists.
