Armenian Security Council Secretary met with Cyprus official during working visit

The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, discussed issues of common interest in the fields of security, including the Cyprus issue and geopolitical developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Caucasus, and the wider region, during a meeting on Wednesday with National Security Advisor, Tasos Tzionis.

According to a statement by the National Security Council, during the meeting, Grigoryan, who is on a working visit to Cyprus, provided information on the implementation of the recent agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, following the second Nagorno-Karabakh war.

Issues following the end of hostilities were also discussed, such as investigating the fate of missing persons and restoring and protecting cultural heritage.

Tzionis and Grigoryan reaffirmed the historic ties of friendship between the two states and peoples and agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions, the statement concludes.
