A yellow warning for severe thunderstorms is in place from 0300 until 1700 (local time) on Thursday.
According to the Department of Meteorology, isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect the island at intervals, initially in the morning hours the western, northern and southern coasts and progressively and mainly after noon the mountains, the internal and the eastern.
Hail is possible during a thunderstorm while winds will vary and increase. Rainfall intensity is expected to range between 35 and 55 kilometers per hour.
