The estimated value of fishery products landed in Cyprus reached approximately pound 4.03 million in 2025, according to data published by Eurostat on Monday.
At EU level, the total value of fishery product landings stood at pound 5.5 billion in 2025, remaining at a similar level to 2024. At the same time, catches by the EU fishing fleet in the seven marine areas covered by European statistics were estimated at a total of 3.3 million tonnes.
Spain recorded the highest value of landings, accounting for 31% of the EU total. It was followed by France, with 18%, and Italy, with 12%.
In terms of catch volume, the Spanish fishing fleet accounted for 21% of the EU total. It was followed by Denmark, with 16%, and France, with 14%.
