A new shipment of 940 tons of humanitarian aid sent from Cyprus arrived at the port of Ashdod and is to be delivered to the civilians in Gaza via UNOPS, the Foreign Ministry said in a post on X on Tuesday.
According to Cyprus’ Foreign Ministry, these humanitarian supplies consist of food items and shelter equipment, and are added to the 27,000 tons of aid that have already been distributed in Gaza through the Cyprus Maritime Corridor.
It is added that the implementation of the Amalthea Plan continues, in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and in coordination with UNOPS and international partners, including other EU Member States.
‘Cyprus will continue to actively contribute in the humanitarian field in coordination with its partners, always under the auspices of the United Nations’, the Ministry concludes.
