The Department of Meteorology issued on Tuesday a yellow warning for rain, isolated thunderstorms and strong winds, which will be valid from 2200 on Tuesday till 2200 on Wednesday.
“A combination of rain, isolated thunderstorms and strong to near gale winds force 6 to 7 Beaufort are expected to affect the island and mainly the coastal areas and the mountainous areas,” the Department said, adding that “in thunderstorm hail is likely.”
“Total precipitation is expected to locally exceed the 55 millimetres per 24 hours,” it concluded.
