Cyprus’ Meteorology Department issued a yellow weather warning for isolated heavy thunderstorms on Sunday.
According to the warning, which is in force from 3:30 until 18:00 on Sunday, isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect the island at times. Hail is possible during thunderstorms, while winds may vary and strengthen, it said. Locally, the precipitation rate is expected to exceed 35 millimetres per hour.
