Hats off to the Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee for getting the absolutely vital SL Cricket Constitution prepared and presented to the Sports Minister to be tabled in Parliament for final approval before it becomes law.
As cricket lovers of Sri Lanka may we appeal to those entrusted with getting Parliamentary approval to fast track this process for the future and indeed the very survival of Sri Lanka Cricket.
Any untoward delay may result in the ICC even suspending Sri Lanka from all forms of cricket that may even lead to losing Sri Lanka’s Test status. What an absolute tragedy that would be.
May we implore those responsible to please fast track this process of Parliamentary approval and then conduct the required elections vide new Cricket Constitution and formation of new SLC Board for the future of Cricket Sri Lanka.
