United Nations Resident Representative Marc-André Franche yesterday expressed their deepest solidarity with Sri Lanka in the wake of the Ditwah cyclone.
‘Deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by #CycloneDitwah,’ he posted via ‘X’ yesterday.
He noted that the UN Sri Lanka is mobilising its teams across the UN system to support national rescue and early recovery efforts, in coordination with authorities.
‘We stand in solidarity with all affected communities,’ he added.
