The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Presidential Campaign Organization (PCO) has taken its nationwide consultations to the North-West zone, with its first town hall meeting scheduled to hold in Katsina State within the week.
Addressing a press conference at the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Office in Abuja on Sunday, campaign spokesman Barrister Tony Ehilebo stated that the Katsina town hall meeting forms part of the party’s grassroots consultation and mobilization strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ehilebo explained that the scheduled town hall meetings represent a broad-based citizen and stakeholder engagement initiative that will span all six geopolitical zones.
He emphasised that the meetings will be issue-based and citizen-driven.
‘It will center on critical issues of national importance, especially those touching directly on the stability of the nation and the well-being of all its citizens,’ Ehilebo said.
He noted that the APM campaign is powered by ordinary Nigerians, adding, ‘Our message is to ‘Reset Nigeria’ to a nation that truly works for all.’ He described the party’s presidential candidate as a grassroots-inclined leader widely respected across the country.
‘We are set to reset Nigeria into a nation where leaders are accessible, accountable, and service-driven; where the resources of the nation are transparently applied for the good of all; and where the hard work, resourcefulness, and views of citizens are valued and respected,’ he stated.
‘The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign message of ‘Reset Nigeria’ is resonating across the country. Our campaign has become a grassroots movement, gaining unprecedented momentum and a reputation as the fastest-growing political platform ahead of the 2027 presidential election,’ he added.
Ehilebo further argued that since the emergence of Governor Seyi Makinde as the presidential candidate of the APM on a platform to reset the nation, ‘Nigerians from across the country have continued to show solidarity, support, and an outpouring of goodwill, while actively mobilizing across communities for our party and candidates.’
‘This solidarity and support by Nigerians have been evident in recent off-cycle elections and by-elections, the latest being the victory of the APM in the Bauchi State House of Assembly by-election over the weekend,’ he concluded.
