The immediate past President of the Rotary Club of Abuja Highrisen, Mrs Halimat Aferede, has advised the new president of the club to be more proactive and membership driven in order to enhance good service to humanity.
Aferede, gave the advise during the third club president and project fundraising ceremony of Rotorian Ishaku Maigida, which held at the National Defense College (NDC) Abuja, on Saturday.
She said the new club’s president must also ensure that he has a core- relationship with every member of the club as every member counts.
‘Although, we have our talents, treasure and time to spend. But that family aspect of it very important as every member should become a family member,’she said.
She, however, noted that the core values of the Rotary Club of Abuja, is service above self, saying ‘you serve humanity without pride as you are humble in yourself so that society will remember you even after you must have gone,’she said.
