ýThe Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 22 suspected crossdressers in different parts of the state, following complaints from residents.

ýDeputy Commander General of the Board, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrests, saying the suspects were apprehended around Zoo Road, Court Road, and other neighbouring areas.

ýHe said most of those arrested entered Kano from other states.

ýAccording to him, the suspects, comprising 10 women and 12 men, admitted to engaging in hook-up activities and drug abuse.
He added that investigations were ongoing and those found guilty would face the law.

ýAminuddeen reiterated that Hisbah would not tolerate acts of immorality in Kano, adding that the board would intensify its crackdown on such practices.
