A 25-year-old Ojo Temitope has been arraigned at the Chief Magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged stealing in the state capital.
The prosecutor, Inspector Sodiq Adeniyi told the court that the defendant on September 21,2026 at about 6:30a.m at Okeyinmi area, in Ado-Ekiti Magistrate District did steal a bag containing the sum of N145,000;00, property of Zainab Yusuf.
Inspector Adeniyi said the defendant on the same date, time and place did conduct himself in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace.
The prosecutor added that the offence committed is punishable under Section 302(1), 181(1)(d) Criminal Laws of Ekiti State of Nigeria 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister M. E. Okon, urged the court to admit his client to bail that he will not jump bail.
In her ruling, the Chief Magistrate, D. M. Babalogbon granted bail of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until October 30, 2026 for hearing.
