Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested seven suspected cultists and recovered a gun and illicit drugs in the state.
The Command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the suspects were arrested along Ghana quarters, Umuebu road Obiaruku, Delta state by operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit (SAKU) of the command on September 13, 2026.
He listed the names of the suspects to include Wisdom Enede, 25; Ocheli Solomon, 42; Nnaji Godstime, 23; Izu Thankgod, 28; Kester Adishi, 31; Oghonogh Pentecost, 28; and Adishi Prince, 28.
He said a search of the suspects led to the recovery of one fabricated single-barrel gun, one cartridge, quantities of suspected illicit drugs, one battle axe, mobile phones and a laptop computer. He said during preliminary interrogation, the suspects allegedly admitted membership of the Vikings and Black Axe confraternities.
According to him, the suspects made statements regarding their alleged involvement in internet fraud.
He said investigation was ongoing to establish their individual roles and possible links to other criminal activities.
