RMAFC Rallies Oil And Gas Stakeholders To Drive Investments

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC) is currently rallying stakeholders in the Oil and Gas sector to drive investments in the sector.

Chairman, Dr. Mohammed Shehu who stated this at the Breakfast meeting on Wednesday in Abuja said the Meeting was convened to engage key stakeholders on the proposed Oil and Gas Investment Summit in China.

‘The meeting is an opportunity to exchange ideas, build consensus, and chart a practical course towards attracting greater investment into Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

As the global energy landscape continues to evolve, Nigeria must remain proactive in positioning itself to harness emerging opportunities while addressing existing challenges.

‘In carrying out its Constitutional functions, the Commission is empowered under Paragraph 32(a and c) of Part 1 of the Third Schedule to the 1999 Constitution (As Amended) to ‘Monitor the accruals to and disbursement of revenue from the Federation Account; and Advise the Federal and State Governments on fiscal efficiency and methods by which their revenue can be increased’ the Commission is proposing an Oil and Gas Investment Summit which is scheduled to take place in Beijing China, and is aimed at showcasing Nigeria’s vast investment opportunities across the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the petroleum industry.
