Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, has commenced grassroots consultations in Zamfara State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Yari, who began the consultations in his hometown, Talata Mafara, on Friday, urged APC supporters to mobilise voters across the grassroots and work towards securing a decisive victory for President Bola Tinubu and the party in the 2027 elections.
Addressing APC stakeholders at his residence in Talata Mafara, the former Zamfara State governor said he chose to begin the mobilisation from his home state to ensure that Zamfara ranks among the states with the highest support for Tinubu and the APC.
He said the APC’s presidential campaign would focus on the achievements of the Tinubu administration rather than promises of what the government intended to do if re-elected.
‘Our campaign will be based on what we have done, not promises to the electorate. We would focus on achievements,’ Yari said.
He urged party members and supporters to intensify their mobilisation efforts at the grassroots, expressing confidence that the APC would record an unprecedented number of votes in Zamfara.
‘We would mobilise for massive votes, unprecedented votes. APC, God willing, will win all the elective positions despite the challenges,’ he said.
