The At-Tanzil Islamic Foundation of Nigeria has been commended for sustaining its charitable activities translating the teachings and dictates of Allah into practical acts of service and compassion among Muslims and members of the wider community.
The commendation was given by the House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ondo East/West Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general election, Dr. Michael Akintomide Ajilo, while congratulating the organisation on its 20th anniversary.
He spoke during the annual Islamic lecture, organised by the Islamic organisation in Ondo City, which coincided with the anniversary.
Dr Ajilo specifically lauded the founder and renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Abdulrafiu Ajiboye (Lagbaji), on his remarkable versatility and deep knowledge of Islamic ethics and practices, which he has consistently deployed in teaching, counselling and guiding the Muslim community over the years.
He reaffirmed his commitment to identifying with the foundation and supporting initiatives that promote religious harmony, coexistence and unity in Ondo Kingdom.
