Residents and motorists in Ughelli have welcomed the commencement of the reconstruction of the failed section of Post Office Road, in front of Ughelli High Court 2, by the chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr Jaro Egbo.
The road had become a major source of concern due to its poor condition, causing difficulties and vehicle damage for road users accessing the court complex and surrounding areas.
Speaking during an inspection of the project on Tuesday, Egbo said the intervention was a comprehensive reconstruction aimed at providing a lasting solution to the problem.
He assured residents that quality materials and standard engineering procedures were being employed.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering durable infrastructural projects that will improve the lives of residents and promote smooth movement in the area.
Residents commended the chairman for the intervention, expressing optimism that the project will improve traffic flow, enhance road safety and bring lasting relief to road users.
