Tributes pour in as Alhaji Abdulwasiu Adebisi marks birthday

Tributes and goodwill messages have continued to pour in for the Managing Director of Westfield Global Construction Limited, Alhaji Abdulwasiu Adebisi, as he marked his birthday on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

Adebisi, a renowned architect, contractor, businessman and philanthropist from Oyo, Oyo State, was celebrated by family, friends, associates and prominent Nigerians for his contributions to business, community development and humanitarian causes.

The celebrant was widely described by well-wishers as a symbol of the ‘milk of human kindness,’ with tributes highlighting his impact on education, youth empowerment, infrastructure development and community welfare.

Leading the tributes was His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, who was said to have continued to inspire leaders such as Adebisi who are committed to service and unity in Yorubaland.

Former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, commended Adebisi for ‘building not just structures, but people,’ noting that his contributions to scholarships, mosque projects and youth empowerment reflected the progressive ideals of Oyo State.

Also celebrating the businessman, Senator Yunus Akintunde, in a message shared on his verified social media handle, described Adebisi as a dependable friend and a man of good character.

‘On this special day, I celebrate you not just as a brother, but as a dependable friend, a man of good character and someone whose friendship I deeply value.’

Akintunde added: ‘May Almighty Allah continue to bless you with good health, wisdom, peace and abundant prosperity. May He grant you many more fruitful years and continue to guide your steps in all your endeavours. Happy Birthday, May this new year of your life bring you greater joy, success, and fulfilment.’

Another senator, Sharafadeen Alli, APC Oyo South, described Adebisi as ‘a distinguished Nigerian whose commitment to development, youth empowerment and community service deserves commendation.’

Alli noted that through Westfield Global Construction Limited, the celebrant had contributed to job creation and infrastructure development, while his personal philanthropic activities had positively affected numerous lives.

Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Oyo North, also joined the birthday tributes, recalling Adebisi’s consistent support for educational and healthcare interventions in Oyo North.

Associates said Buhari particularly praised Adebisi’s ‘quiet charity’ and integrity in both business and public service.

From the business community, Chief Dotun Sanusi, an Ibadan-based business mogul, described Adebisi as ‘a brother in nation-building’, recalling their collaborations on artisan empowerment and contractor development.

A close associate, Alhaji Idris Adeoye, said: ‘He is the same Alhaji who will sit with you and discuss how to lift 10 young men out of poverty.’

Similarly, Barrister Akeem Agbaje described Adebisi as ‘an architect not only of buildings, but of hope’, saying his integrity had set a standard for young entrepreneurs.

Among the memories shared in celebration of the businessman were his Ramadan outreach programmes for widows, provision of boreholes, renovation of schools across Oyo State and mentorship of young engineers who have gone on to establish their own firms.

Responding to the tributes, Adebisi expressed appreciation to the Alaafin, Senators Folarin, Buhari and Alli, Chief Sanusi, Alhaji Adeoye, Barrister Agbaje and ‘all eminent Nigerians too numerous to mention.’

He also thanked his wife, children, immediate family and associates ‘for making my birthday this year a special day.’

Adebisi prayed for continued strength to serve humanity and urged people who have been blessed to extend such blessings to others. ‘If God has blessed you, let others feel it,’ he said.
