Thirty-eight areas across the Philippines are under the danger heat index level, the state weather bureau PAGASA said on Sunday, May 24, warning of scorching temperatures.
In its latest bulletin, PAGASA said heat index values in these areas may range from 42°C to 43°C.
San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; San Ildefonso, Bulacan and Sangley Point, Cavite City, Cavite may expect a temperature of 46°C.
In Metro Manila, readings from the PAGASA Science Garden in Quezon City and Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City are also under the danger heat index classification.
The PAGASA Science Garden is expected to record a heat index of 43°C on Wednesday, while NAIA is forecast to reach 44°C.

CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija – 44°C
Casiguran, Aurora – 44°C
Baler (Radar), Aurora – 44°C
NVSU Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya – 44°C
NAIA Pasay City, M.Manila – 44°C
Aborlan, Palawan – 43°C
Coron, Palawan – 43°C
Alabat, Quezon – 43°C
