Ty-led diversified conglomerate GT Capital Holdings Inc. has donated a 15-hectare parcel of land at Riverpark in General Trias City to serve as the future site of a new Ateneo de Manila University campus in Cavite.
The donation of the property to Ateneo de Manila aims to bring holistic, world-class education closer to students residing in the southern part of Metro Manila and neighboring provinces.
The deed of donation was signed on May 11, 2026, following the memorandum of agreement entered into between GT Capital and Ateneo de Manila in October last year.
The Ateneo de Manila University campus in Riverpark is expected to open by 2030 and further anchor the township’s long-term development.
The new Ateneo campus adds to the growing roster of strategic developments within Riverpark, the largest township development between GT Capital’s wholly owned property subsidiary, Federal Land Inc., and its joint venture, Federal Land NRE Global Inc. (FNG).
Other key developments in the township include the Uniqlo Logistics Facility, launched in April, and the upcoming SM City General Trias.
The Uniqlo Logistics Facility at Riverpark North is positioned as Uniqlo’s largest logistics hub in Southeast Asia, expanding the brand’s supply chain capacity while strengthening its operations in the Philippines.
SM City General Trias, an 11-hectare commercial development, is targeted for completion by 2026 and will be the first SM mall in General Trias.
GT Capital said the commercial lots at Riverpark North are also poised to emerge as a future lifestyle destination.
FNG’s Riverpark North commercial lots, launched in 2024 and now fully sold out, are being developed into a mixed-use commercial district that will support future retail and business activity within the estate.
FNG is preparing to launch the second phase of the commercial lots.
GT Capital said the township is likewise set to benefit from improved accessibility through two interchanges on the Cavite-Laguna Expressway: the Open Canal Interchange, slated for completion in 2026, and the Riverpark-General Trias Interchange, targeted for completion in 2027.
