GMA Playlist artist Henri Gimena or Henri G., a trans singer, officially launched her professional recording career with her debut single, ‘Di Para Sa Isa’t Isa.’ The ballad is a raw and courageous reflection on enduring love that ultimately finds its inevitable end.
‘Di Para sa Isa’t Isa’ speaks to couples who navigate the ups and downs of a relationship. It addresses the painful realization that even the deepest love can’t conquer incompatibility, reaching a point where separating becomes the only courageous path.
The song was composed by Natasha L. Correos, with additional arrangements by Joe Edrei L. Cruz, mixed by Harry A. Bernardino, and produced by Rocky Gacho and Natasha Correos.
Says Henri G., ‘The song is for those who are in love but experience the ups and downs in their relationship. It gets to a point where no matter how much you love each other, you are simply not meant to be. That’s why you need to find the courage to face a love that is not for you.’
The singer relates to the song through her own experiences of seeking meaningful relationships that didn’t lead to a happy ending, realizing that they were not meant for each other.
She hopes that the song, available on major streaming platforms worldwide, will empower listeners. ‘I want them to get courage in their hearts when it comes to love. The lyrics alone will surely be relatable if they have gone through this. I hope they can release their true emotions while listening.’
Henri G. is immensely grateful to be part of GMA Playlist. Asked for advice for aspiring trans artists, she says, ‘It’s very important for them to be true to themselves and be passionate enough to reach for their dreams. Most importantly, they should always sing from the heart.’
