Filipino boxer Mark Magsayo is out to put a mark in the unbeaten record of Andres Cortes.
Magsayo will be battling the American Cortes next month in a 10-round lightweight bout in the undercard of the Ryan Garcia-Conor Benn showdown on September 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Magsayo is currently riding a five-match win streak. Most recently, he defeated Feargal McCrory via technical knockout back in April of this year.
In his previous five wins, the former featherweight champion has knocked out Bryan Mercado, Isaac Avelar and McCrory.
But Cortes is no pushover.
He is coming off a unanimous decision win over Eridson Garcia in the main event of the April card.
Magsayo is currently holding a 29-2 win-loss record, with 19 knockouts. Cortes, on the other hand, is undefeated through 25 matches, with 13 knockouts.
