The “10th Anniversary FAN-CON [Very Merry Party]” of K-pop girl group Momoland in the Philippines next month is no longer pushing through due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond control.”
The Korean was due for a comeback to the country this August 8 at the EVM Convention Center’s FYM Hall in Quezon City. However, organizers Three Angles Production released a statement announcing the event’s cancellation.
“We would like to extend our apologies to everyone who has been looking forward to sharing this special anniversary with Momoland in Manila,” the statement read.
Megatix Asia will handle the refunding of purchased tickets. Refund instructions and a corresponding timeline will be emailed to registered buyers.
“We are truly grateful for the understanding and support of the Filipino Merries,” ended organizers, referring to local Momoland fans. “Although we are unable to celebrate together this time, we remain hopeful for the opportunity to meet again in the future.”
Momoland had announced earlier this month the Philippines would be included in its 10th anniversary celebrations, having debuted in 2016 under MLD Entertainment after winning a reality show.
