Team Philippines’ Mazel Paris and Jericho Francisco advanced to the park skateboarding finals of the Asian Games 2026 after finishing fourth overall in their respective preliminaries Thursday at Aichi Sky Expo.
Paris, 12, scored 73.93 points in Heat 2 to finish fourth overall in the women’s event. Japan’s Mizuho Hasegawa topped the heat with 89.15 points.
‘It was super fun. I landed my runs, and that was my goal,’ Paris said. ‘For tomorrow, I’m gonna pray to land my runs and to have fun.’
Francisco also placed fourth overall in the men’s park preliminaries with 80.64 points.
‘I had a really, really good time,’ he said. ‘I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve that I’m gonna pull out in practice, and then just have fun and enjoy.’
The finals are scheduled for Friday, with the women’s event at 9 a.m. time and the men’s at 11:30 a.m.
Elizabeth Amador, meanwhile, finished ninth with 59.99 points and did not advance to the final.
